Well I stopped and got a 7’ medium and 7’ medium heact combo and some 40 pound braid for them. Can’t wait to try and get some Iowa bass

So why mono it’s got so much stretch?

Oh ok awesome. Thank you for the reply. I’m used to 15 pound or 65 pound braid. So I wasn’t sure if I should make the switch to mono or flouro

Recently moved to Iowa. I’m from Florida so all my stuff is rigged with braid. What are most guys using out in the Midwest where ponds and lakes aren’t swamps???

What do ya recommend I was also looking at the extreme and getting a ducket rod

Went out this morning got a 2 pounder on a spinner bait. He nailed it but the trailer hook did get him! Thanks so much for the help everyone! I'm gonna keep throwing them

I just added the trailer hook! And I'm using braid I can't wait till tomm morning

So I was at a local pond today has a catwalk around it. 6-8 foot deep clear water with hydrilla and grass 2-3 foot off the bottom with sand patches. I was throwing a strike king white spinner bait double razor blade. I had one hit it but he shook off. I added a trailer hook when I got home. What is the best time of day to try a spinner bait? Should I be using something different I'm in Florida still warm here

That's one of the colors I've been messing with that and redear seem to mimic bait fish in all conditions

Awesome guys thank you so much for the advice. I messed with hooking them normal and upside down today to change the action. I've got some watermelon red, white, and baby bass right now

Why the wide gap hook? Just curious I was using a round bend worm hook thought it would be ok because of the slit in the bait

What kind of hooks are y'all using?

So I got my first fluke fish yesterday. Pretty neat bait the way it works. Worked awesome in the scummy pond I was fishing I could drag it over the scum moss and drop it into the holes. I was using a zoom super fluke. I was curious on the colors and brands of flukes y'all prefer?

Well I got my black/blue 3/4 punch flipping jig with flappy daddy trailer and some back blue z man creaturz baits for tomm
