  1. So i'm not a saltwater fisherman at all. But what i can catch fish on around savannah is either live target shrimp with a cajun thunder popping cork or live shrimp with the same cork. You can actually fish the canals around savannah for largemouth as crazy as it sounds. You'll catch bass and snakeheads but the bass are easy to catch and usually have a pretty good size to them.
  2. When i need a lot of stuff i don't mind ordering from them at all but sometimes i just need something little here and there that i can't buy local.
  3. SO i've gone through 3 different ones in the past month. From $20-$50 a piece, Every one has broken. I would like some suggestions for a good electronic scale to use that'll hold up. Mine never got wet or anything. Brand new batteries and just dead. I'm staring at a bogagrip at work right now and wondering if i should just give in and get it.
  4. Thats a great idea. I wonder if i double them up and put on the wacky rig tool if itll work for quicker rigging. Or just premake some so i don't have to worry about it.
  5. It seems like a gimmick... Remember the banjo minnows.
  6. So i finally broke and started using this style again. Can't deny how well it works. The problem i'm having is finding the o-rings and nail head weights for them. There's nowhere local to buy them and i can't justify paying $8 for shipping on $2 of product. Does anyone know of sites that possibly have free or cheaper than TW shipping. When i make big orders its free shipping but lately i've stayed pretty well stocked on most things now that tournaments are picking up.
  7. Oakley polarized glasses are nice too. I just don't like how cheap they feel. I guess with the price I pay I can justify costas. The 400g are great. Hobie polarized glasses are pretty nice too. So are wileys. Just try out each one. But one big selling point of oakleys. Impact resistant lenses. So if a lure comes back at you your eyes are safe. Not so much the rest of your fave but the important parts
  8. So.... I am a costa snob. I'm currently at 11 pairs. All i buy are 580g. The lens colors are for all different environments and blah blah blah. If you sight fish copper is the way to go. Just basic freshwater you'll want a green mirror. Saltwater blue mirror. Clear water streams rivers and all that silver mirror. I work at a costa dealer and get killer deals so i kinda have a problem. Never had problems with them. ALso have great customer service!
  9. I bet the super fluke jr or tiny fluke size in baby bass would be pretty sweet. Definitely going to buy some of the smaller sizes from work and try it.
  10. I'd say ask but.... you never ask a woman her weight...
  11. Where i'm at the fry have already hatched.
  12. I know. I didn't mean babyistting as in guarding the fry. We've been playing with the gopro putting it on a pole and holding it underwater by bait balls watching the fish patrol the fry and defend them.
  13. i was just using a basic fluke and had fish. I was reading something on using a small treble as a trailer like mentioned above.
  14. I've thrown flukes and swimbaits. They hit them but its just to move them away.
  15. The BIG females in my pond are now "babysitting" the hatch and they will hit anything you throw in their general area BUT they never hit it hard enough for a hookset. Any lure recommendations?
  16. I've red really good stuff about Barlows for supplies but i'd like some input from those experienced in this. I go through a LOT and would really like to start making my own. Any advice and pointers help. \ Thanks in advance, Ian
  17. There are some pretty awesome creeks by me that have relatively clear water. During the summer i take 1 rod and a book bag of lures and wade about 4 miles down the creek before i call it quits. Its a blast being able to see the fish like that.
  18. I threw everything mentioned. They absolutely had no interest in anything no matter color or pattern. We got hit with a mild cold front where i'm at and the fish moved back deeper again.
  19. Where i'm at the fish are already commited on beds. I've thrown everything and caught fish. Carolina/texas rigged lizards being my favorite. Topwater bite has been decent. Of course my hands down favorite is a 1/2 oz jig with a trailer of some sort.
  20. Anyone know where to get them still? They're no longer on TW. Academy sports clearanced them all out. AND they're hands down my favorite craw bait. Whether it's a jig trailer or thrown on a chompers jig head I Have so much confidence in them I don't wanna change it up yet.
  21. Where I'm at most fish are already on bed. Or at least in less than 2-3 feet of water. I've caught SEVERAL fish on bed. But I've got these 2 bass on a bed that I cannot get to hit anything. I can hit them in the head with a lure and nothing. The female just rolls on her side and the male will bite at her. Sounds ridiculous but this is the 4th day In a row this has happened on the same bed. Shoot the fish are so active I caught the same exact fish 2 days In a row. Saturday at 7am on a lizard and again on Sunday with a chompers football head with a yum money craw. I'll add a pic. But any recommendation for the first 2 fish I spoke of? They're not huge maybe 2-3 pounds but it drives me nuts seeing them day after day and not getting any response. Like I said. Attached pic. Same fish 2 days in a row. Same exact spot.
  22. chattahoochee jigs 1/2 jig. on 20lb sunline sniper fc. I also skip buzzbaits and spinnerbaits pretty well with the right trailer
  23. I'm not a fan of them at all. I'd look on tackle warehouse at the reaction innovation vixen
