  1. They are no longer making the rayburn red. Its crazy. I have so many colors up here left but none of those. Just craw and toldeo gold
  2. I wish. My tournament there isn't until june. lol Wish i could do some prefishing there beforehand
  3. I was using a buzzbait today before i went into work. Running it across the water then when id get over a bed id let it drop and with the frog the legs will stand up in the air. It was extremely productive for the short amount of time i was out today
  4. The rayburn red was a pretty good color.
  5. If you use them what do you prefer. I mostly use a bruiser baits kickin frog but to me any soft plastic frog works. It makes it really easy to skip and more action.
  6. I went fishing before work this morning from about 6:30-9:30. Caught several fish. Most of which were on a buzzbait. I reel until its over a bed and let it fall.
  7. We are sold out of almost every color except a few. I have a shoebox full of various colors left then thats the end of them. The ones we sell here are the Xcalibur.
  8. I work at an academy sports store and people have completely bought out our Excalibur lures. They informed us that they are discontinuing a LOT of their products. So I'm not sure if they're going out of business or what.
  9. Going through old tackle boxes I've bought at yards sales and what not. This is what I've found in one. Not sure the value or if these even have any but thought they were cool. Previous to this site I trashed older lures thinking nobody would want them. Definitely a huge mistake. But here's the goodies from #1 and more pics on the way.
  10. I fish a 7'3 for jigs and frogs. Veritas medium heavy with a revo stx
  11. I work at an academy store. i love the small frogs in the bluegill color.
  12. I have a good bit of these and other old lures if anyone wants to throw out info on them. i have pictures to atttach later.
  13. I got a RM Negotiator from a local shop. Guy gave it to me for $40. Worst lure experience, Last summer when Vixens were all but impossible to find i was fishing on lanier. Casted it right off. Halfway to it a fish came up and tagged it. Never saw it again
  14. I want to try out *** rods. But the experience I had with them was not so good. I just emailed contacting them about reels. Wanted to know if they'd planned on releasing lefty models and I was told "it's not worth our time or effort to cater to lefties when there are more right handed people"
  15. my fav are chattohoochee jigs. And the heads they use skip like no other when you need to get under docks
  16. at academy we had the duckett micro magics go on closeout for 39.99
  17. Their customer service was hands down the best i've dealt with. They didn't make me present the original receipt. I'm not the best at keeping track of stuff like that. lol But i have a binder of receipts for everything i own fishing rod and reel wise
  18. I've never had a veritas break. And the veracricty is a beast. I caught a 9 pounder on the rod with no problem. The whole story leading to it is a little more detailed. I hooked into a fish. Not sure the size but he ran out my drag on my revo beast. Then the fish went straight down and it snapped.
  19. Abu garcia veracity 7'6 heavy. Been watching the fish move up to bed where i live. Tossing a jig across beds. Finally got a SOLID hook up. about 45 seconds into the fight my rod snapped in 2 places. about 6 inches above the handle and 3/4 up the rod. GREAT customer service and are replacing it for free. Anyone else had something like that happen to one of these rods?
  20. we just got them in where i work and they flew off the shelf
  21. I like white hardbaits and flukes. I never have luck on much else in white where i live
  22. So i use chattahoochee jigs. Top notch and great guys working there. Anyone know any other small tackle companies. Like them. Tanooki sports, Peska rods. Just trying to find some smaller businesses with great products like the above mentioned
  23. They're alright. I still prefer koppers
  24. Post pics. I work at an outdoor store. One of the guys i work with actually collects and lets the local fishing museum use all of his stuff there
