  1. Werner Tybee hooked paddle is in that price range. It's carbon fiber paddle so it's very light and doesn't wear you out.
  2. I have the nrs Chinook also. Bottom right - phone in a zip loc bag. Bottom left - pliers and a pack of lures I have tied on at the time. Top right pockets - a plastic grocery bag to pick up trash others leave in or around the water. Copy of fishing license in a zip loc bag. Top left - car keys cause I don't leave stuff in my pockets.
  3. Caught this girl on a green pumpkin candy havoc flat dawg.
  4. Try a swimbait with a keel weighted hook and pull it through the top of the grass.
  5. I have 2 combos I take out on my kayak. 1 is a 6 foot 8 inches shimano sellus jig and worm rod. It a mxf paired with a pflueger Trion 35 spinning rod. My other is a 7 foot berkley lighting rod mf casting rod paired with a quantum kinetic. I love the shimano pflueger combo. I throw weightless plastics with it and have pulled in a few 2-3 pound bass with no problem.
  6. I haven't fished there in about 10 years but the algae bloom isn't bad this year. It's a good Lake for crappie and channel cats. Do a Google search and you will find multiple reports. Ohio game fishing has a extensive thread on the area forums for Grand Lake St Mary's.
  7. Man that sucks sorry to here this. I have been through the same thing but it wasn't my fishing gear stolen it was my TV electronics, jewelry and golf clubs. The thing that made it worse was the person who broke into my home was a family member who had a bad heroin addiction we didn't know about. Our insurance covered it but a lot of stuff had no real value just sentimental value.
  8. What kind of rack do you have on your wrangler? Did you have to do any body drilling to mount it? I want to get a rack for my wrangler but don't want to drill in the body.
  9. I fished the blue Lake Monday morning before the wind blew me off the lake in my kayak. I didn't catch anything but saw a few Bass and gills. Next time I'm taking some squarebills with me. Look up Ohio game fishing lots of good reports on there for the dayton area.
  10. I was drooling over that same yak at the other day. Is that a nrs Chinook pfd? I just got that one it looks similar to that but green.
  11. I've been looking at that reel for a while. Has pretty good reviews online. Would like to hear what you think about it.
  12. I have looked on quadratec a bunch of time and must have looked over that. Do you tie down the front of the Kayak also?
  13. I have a soft top jeep wrangler 2 door model. It will be my main way of transporting my yak around. My question is does anyone on this forum have the same jeep and haul their yak on the top of it with the top up? I am a little worried that I will bend the roof supports with my yak tied down on the roof. My Kayak weighs 46 pounds so it's not a very heavy one. As soon as it warms up I will have the top down to haul it around and I'm not to worried about hauling it that way.
  14. Ok thanks for the replys everyone. The packaging stinks but I will keep them in the clamshell.
  15. Just like the topic says. Is it OK to store those in a zip loc type baggy. The clamshell type packages take up to much room in my sling pack. Just wondering if it would smash them up and hurt their action?
  16. Dicks sporting goods has lews Reels for around your budget and the lighting rod also. The quantum escalade looks like a nice reel also.

  18. Like Ringing and Mumbly said look for the spiderwire sling I picked mine up last year at dsg for 25 dollars. It holds 2 smaller Plano boxes. Mines came with a spiderwire box already so I just picked up a similar sized box for it. I think I have around 25-30 packs of soft plastics in it I think and a couple of weight and hook boxes and some other stuff. Overall it's a very nice bag.
  19. Im interested in trying them out, but i just bought the square bill bps kit last week. I did seen them for 4 bucks a dsg the other day.
  20. I went to the bps sale today and picked up 15 bags of havoc baits. 21. I'm planning on getting a bunch of havoc plastics a few cranks and some terminal tackle. I have a few gift cards to bps so that's awesome.
  22. I haven't heard of that place before, but I will put it on my list of places to go. The furthest south I have went is to ceasars creek and that isn't to far south of dayton.
  23. Hey bass resource. I've been a lurker for some time now,so I decided it's time to sign up here. I used to fish a lot around 11 years ago and took a long break from it. Last year I got back into fishing again and the fishing bug has hit me hard. I'm ready for spring to get here so I can get on the water in my new kayak.
