TW order did not go through...
Not always. My mom was doing a christmas gift to me, payed with her card on my account and it would be shipped to me instead of her. They talked on the phone and the only solution was for them to transfer the order to her and ship it to her. When I view my order history, this order no longer shows up for me. So maybe if it is on the card linked to your account it is ok.

TW order did not go through...
I still don't know whether to be happy about that or mad about it. On some levels it does protect us a bit more so that is good. The real reason though might be that too many significant others complained that there lesser halves were ordering boatloads of tackle and having it shipped to work to conceal said purchases;)

TW order did not go through...
Tackle warehouse is very particular with shipping and billing addresses, to the point they really won't ship to an address that is different than the billing address, I learned this the hard way. I have used a prepaid credit card in the past without any issues, so if I got your post right I am surprised that caused an issue.

Storing jigs
I have mine in a plano box sorted by weight. It is easy to tell apart the different styles, but weight is tough with different shaped heads, tungsten vs lead, etc, which is why I do it this way.

Personal Favorite Lure
Bandit 100 and a Tube or Kalins 5" grub (tube probably gets the nod because it is more versatile)

Storing ZMAN baits in waterproof Plano boxes?
The TRD Tubez come in a smaller bags, at least the ones I have, and would give ya another bait to try. Here is the response I got back from Zman about storing their baits. I personally don't use the original bags since I glue the bait to the jig, I don't want to seal a wet jig in that bag.

Storing ZMAN baits in waterproof Plano boxes?
I have used the double sided smaller Plano boxes for elaztech baits with pretty good success. There is some warping over time of the dividers, but the lids stay pretty good. Guessing that it has to do with all the bends and curves in these covers, it may add some rigidity to the cover. I am currently using the 3500 size. i did read an article or watch a you tube video recently about soft plastics and how the amount of I believe softener in the plastic is what warps the boxes. Some standard plastics warp boxes pretty badly too.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Managed to get 30 items from TW for 85 bucks. Picked up 6 packs of the small keitech crazy flappers hoping for a good Ned bait on a river loaded with craws.

All kidding aside, the bait monkey is cruel, especially when you get gift cards for Christmas;) Did get my first Siebert stuff too, will be getting more in the future:)

Are they one that can't be mentioned here? I was looking at the Powells, but may just stick to tackle instead of another rod.

Recommendations for swimbaits
The problem I have is we have 50 lb fish swimming around so for me I would be afraid to throw the 20 to 25 lb co poly or flouro for reasons of either getting bit off or broke off. Probably not a perfect solution for up here.

Recommendations for swimbaits
I generally use 50 lb power pro and this is what my setup for swimbaits is gonna be, because Musky love swimbaits too;) Never casted off a bait with this and very few bite offs even and I am lazy about retying. The heaviest lure I know I have thrown on the line is a 6.6 oz storm thunderstick with it. What lb test are guys using when they toss swimbaits? I tried some 20 lb power pro and spider wires version of suffix 832 and encountered exactly what you were talking about even with clean line tossing deep divers and Bandit 100s. Never have the issue though with 30 lb suffix 832 or fireline (not sure what category this fits). I just assumed it was a bad bunch and stuck with the 50 lb power pro and the 30 lb 832. So I guess in a way I agree with you, and have found line I trust and have stuck with it for years.

Recommendations for swimbaits
Really? Musky guys throw heavier baits on braid all the time. Like any line just retie if frayed and in toothy fish land use a steel leader.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Got my first batch of Siebert jigs. Mostly morels, but wanted to try a couple of shot caller swim jigs to see how they compare to my current swim jig. They look very nice, expect I will be ordering more in the future once I deplete my stock some.

The final 3 swimbaits to add to my collection this year. The Giron and 30 size rat were smaller than I expected, but still should catch a bunch of fish

Favorite Way To Fish Ned Rig ?
When River fishing, I like to swim it and polish the rocks. Hanging up once in a while is ok too, because there are times a Smallie will absolutely kill a bait after it pops off a snag, not sure why. On lakes I fish a lot of vertical cover, docks and reeds, so I initially let it drop to the bottom then swim it back. I don't deadstick it anymore, because it is too easy to deep hook a bass with this bait. Scent, always use a dab of a gel scent. I have seen too many days where the scent is the difference between getting bit or not, so I just always play it safe and use it. I catch a lot of fish with it, but for some reason on lakes I have found baits like a tube, Gambler Ugly Otter, 5" Kalins etc. will out fish the Ned. It could be the types of cover I fish, as I don't fish a lot flats with weeds on top.

$50 for Christmas. What do YOU buy?
I have this dilemma right now with a use anywhere gift card. I am going to hold onto it for any great sales I come across when we are out and about, and instead of thinking if I only had the cash, I will now. Worst case I use it to supplement the TW gift cards I got when cashing them in during one of their sales.

Still looks like there is a chance for some good stuff. No gambler though, but I got what I needed on BF. I wonder if the fact that they had a lot of brands with an extra 10% off during the BF sale has altered their offerings for this sale?

Yes but bug in the past I have found enough stuff I need on sale to spend 50-100. I have also gotten a bit pickier and have more specific wants and needs so that doesn't help. The deal running today is similar to the deal TW ran at BF and I stocked up pretty heavy then. Care to share the rest of the TW days? Last email I had only went through day 9.

Roboworm 3" Ned Worm
I will be receiving the same combo on Sunday plus some Siebert Morels the next week. Can't wait to see what they look like. I think I went with 6 bags to try out.

That is what I am hoping. Gambler usually is included, but I did pick some on during the BF sale, which was great. May just wait till Memorial Day though.

Why do we throw a smaller variety of Crankbaits
2 each of the 1/2 oz and 1 of the 1/4 oz RES. My issue is that I have many colors of the RES, styles, and sizes along with Xcal lipless, Bill Lewis, Rapala lipless, etc that never see the water once I start catching them on a particular bait. Same happens with square bills, deep divers, etc. It is like prying teeth from me to get me to change color or brand once I hook into fish, even though I have the other options in the boat with me.

Why do we throw a smaller variety of Crankbaits
Moving forward I am going to do this, but I have a few cranks to lose lol. It is amazing though how readily I change plastic colors, but I can think of a couple of vacations that I just left the same crank tied on because it produced without thinking would something else work better.

Why do we throw a smaller variety of Crankbaits
A while back I posted on here that I was going to stab the bait monkey in the back and analyze all of my TW purchases;) What I found was very interesting. I have purchased soft plastics the most and it really isn't close. I have also tried 70% of the soft plastics I have purchased. The second most I have purchased is Crankbaits, but I have only used 30% of them. This intrigued me, because I use cranks a lot, especially when I fish lakes. At first I thought it was because I have bought more colors of cranks vs soft plastics, but looking at the list I have probably bought a wider variety of colors in soft plastics. Here is what I have figured out. With soft plastics that last anywhere from 1 to 12 fish, I will generally try another color to see how the fish react to the change before settling on the color of the day. For example last year a copperfield ugly otter got the most bites, but the florida five o ugly otter got fewer but more viscous hits and bigger fish. When it comes to cranks this year I used 2 1/2 ounce RES and 1 1/4 ounce RES not trying out all the different colors I have bought to see if they work better, or heck if a different brand works better. This has been a consistent theme with my crankbait fishing over the years. So it seems to come down to how often I am forced to change lures as to trying new colors when one works. My dilemma is do I start limiting the colors I buy or even say standard RES vs RES 2 tap (never tied this one on even though I really wanted to try them) due to how I fish crankbaits? Or do I start switching out crankbait colors or styles every 5 or 6 fish to see if I am missing out on anything?
