I have mine in a plano box sorted by weight. It is easy to tell apart the different styles, but weight is tough with different shaped heads, tungsten vs lead, etc, which is why I do it this way.

I generally only throw 1/2 or 3/4 oz., so I don't really organize them.  I use a tall 3700 Hydroflow box, and carry assorted head styles and colors.  I'll reload it if I feel like I'm missing some color/size/head style.

The bass mafia box is heaven for this one thing.  I use the regular one and put them by rows and color.  Top green pumpkin left light right heavy.  Next row water melon and the same light left heavy right pastern.  I fish four colors so i dont have a huge pile.  Brown, black, pumpkin, watermelon.  Use trailers to add glitter or contrast.  If you have a bunch of the same then the deep version might work better.  No rust since i started using this box and only take them out never back in.  When they come out and after use they go into the ready box for further use, until there lost or given to a young fishermen on the bank to share the love....

I just spent a couple hours redoing my jig tacklebox yesterday, I decided to put each one in seperate little baggy they come in and write type, weight on it: (I've saved these bag and have a bunch)

I have 6 catagories:

Finesse - 3g

Arky/Round ball - 1/4 - 1/2

Swim Jigs - 1/4 - 1/2

Football - 1/4 - 1/2

Pitchin/flippin 1/4 - 3/4

Punch - 1 - 2oz

I only have 3 - 7 of each so I keep them in slots grouped by catagory in 3700 Plano box, for colors I really only have Watermellon, black/blue type and firetiger.

If I want an pitchin jig I simply pick up all baggies in slot and look thru to see which one I want. I have a Bass Mafia for terminal tackle and love it, but being on a kayak I didn't want weight of another one.

Bass Mafia box is great for this...I keep my jigs, chatterbaits, and punch rigs in here.  There are 5 to 7 jigs in each compartment.  I really only use a couple different color variations, but there are probably 80-ish jigs in this box.

I use two boxes...one 3700 waterproof with all my 1/2 and 3/4 footballs and poison jigs.  A smaller box with all the peanut jigs and smaller hook footballs.  If a jig gets changed or used it usually does not go back into the original box.  I also tie my own so they all go into small plastic bags before they go into the box and they are marked.  I have one designated box on top of all my others that I put all my used baits in and when I get home the top gets opened so I can keep the rust down.

I usually use only 1/8, 3/8, and 1/2 ounce jigs. I keep them in the box based on rows and columns. The same color goes in a row, and the same size goes down the columns.

football- 1/2, 3/4, 1oz

flipping- 3/8,1/2, 3/4?

swim- 3/8 and 1/2?

 Finesse - no idea lol

By skirt type; hair jigs, living rubber jigs, silicone skirt jigs, plain jigs no skirts by head color and size. Store them in Plano boxes and zip lock bags. I use finesse jigs that are kept together in 2 Plano boxes, 1 skirted and 1 plan like darts, wacky, pea heads etc. altogether in my boat about 15 boxes of jigs. In my garage??? too many and make them in batches of 100 that I buy my hooks in.
