Tip Of The Day
Use a lighter to "cut" really heavy braid, it's alot easier than carrying around braid scissors or a knife.

First Time Fishing Salt Water And Need Some Help
If you rinse off your gear after fishing you'll be fine. The 3" Berkley Gulp shrimp in the new penny color on a red jig head is absolutely deadly. But all your bass lures will work great, the crazier the color the better.

Power Pro all the way. I like the 50lb for topwater too, it's like rope you just can't break it.

Trimming Jig Weed Guards?
I trim them only if they are excessive. When they do get trimmed, I cut the weedgaurd just past the barb of the hook. If they are trimmed too short it makes them stiff and prone to getting hung up.

Air Brush Gun
I have the Iwata Neo, the cheapest name brand airbrush. If you buy it from Hobby Lobby you can use their 40% off coupon. You can always print one off on their website (limit one coupon per person per day). Using their coupons you can get an Iwata Ninja compressor and a Neo gun for around $150. That's cheap and a name brand.

Must-Have
Sick Fish on a weighted screw lock swimbait hook. Doesn't come close to a Little Creeper Trash Fish but, for three bucks it's hard to beat. Boiling them 'til they feel "sticky" helps a lot.

Benefits Of More Expensive Lures?
Price doesn't always dictate quality. Livingston Lures can charge a premium for their hi-tech lures that make noise and have flashing lights. Most of the time you can tell if something is truly high quality by three things: hooks, how detailed the paint is, and customer reviews online.

New Guy From Ga
I've been bass fishing for around 10 years or so, and target small waters and, unpressured lakes. I prefer throwing heavy tackle ,such as; frogs, swimbaits, and big topwaters. I also make my own balsa crankbaits and swimbaits from start to finish. I'm excited to learn and contribute to the forums.
