  1. I like a lighter for braid and a knife for the rest.
  2. What about making a silicone mold of your hand carved frog. Then use a two part flexible rubber matierial. Pour that in your mold and rotate ' til it's cured. Check out "Make Lure.com" they will have everything you need. They have a forum there maybe somone will have some more (better) ideas. Hope it works that would be cool to make your ow frogs. P.S. The above is not my original idea I heard it from Makelure.com.
  3. Sweet thanks for the info. Keep up the good work.
  4. That looks awesome. What kind of paint is it? I've been looking for something like that.
  5. Check out "Paul Adams lures" on YouTube.
  6. KVD's Bass Stategies. Great book with a ton of info.
  7. I use a milk crate with zip tied pvc pipes on the outside for rod holding. It works great plus you get a ton of storage I can fit 6 plano boxes in it.

Nice fish. Hope you beat it soon, and keep the streak alive.
  9. Have you guys lost one that big, yet?
  10. Love the Amish style forecast.
  11. Got smoked today by mosquitoes, flies, and a centipede. How does a centipede end up in a kayak anyway? Didn't catch anything, but it was nice being outside (I guess).
  12. Chompers PB&J casting jig. If you're looking for really high quality you probably need to find something hand-made. Or what everybody else will say (for good reason), Seiberts.

Who you got in your Final Four, and who's gonna win it all? Here's who I got. 1.Notre Dame 2.Wisconsin 3.NC State 4.Duke I got Notre Dame Vs. Duke, and Notre Dame winning it all.(Yeah I'm from Indiana, so what.)
  14. One time while bank fishing with some buddies we got some burgers for lunch, and like always I took the pickles off. So, I put the pickles on my hook (as a joke), and three seconds later my bobber goes down, and catch a nice bass. After that everybody started using pickles. I tried to trade for more, but they were like gold.
  15. Don't let PETA know.
  16. Welcome to the club.
  17. Mostly swimbaits and jigs. Hard to skip lures with trebles. The hooks just kill the momentum. (I tried it today...nasty backlashes).
  18. Keep an eye out for close out deals. Especially on Tackle Warehouse they recently had Carrot Stix for $68 (I got two). They always have great deals. Be patient and watch, you might catch a break and get a $100 rod for $50.
  19. Me and my brother used a tandem. Lasted about 20 minutes, and ended in a Lucha Libre styled wrestling competion. (not really) But we do only use singles now.

Check out the Booyah Badonkadonk. Great name better action easiest lure to walk ever. And if I'm not mistaken it's recommended by Bill Dance. I've only used the saltwater model, it gives the bass a totally different look and sound than a Spook.
  21. Tim Little from Tactical-Bassin' caught the new California state record spot. 10 pounds 6 ounces, it looks even bigger than that. Didn't include the video (low tech man high tech world) maybe someone else can, but you should seriously check it out. That bass is a monster.
  22. I bought an old Cotton Cordell Spot at an antique place from the 60's or 70's. Put some new hooks on it, caught a fish the first time I used it.
