  1. The small sized Lunker Hunt frog, and hand sanitizer. Raw sewage from broken pipes? I don't think you ever have to worry about people taking your spot.
  2. Just finished it looks sweet. I went with trout, so glad I did. I did try hot pink though looked pretty good too, but I dropped it while it was wet, then I decided to go with something else. I'll try and post pics tomorrow.
  3. I love these swimbaits. The real trick with rigging these is slitting the belly from the fins to the gill plates. I make the slit pretty deep, almost to the top hook slot. I can't remember the exact size hook, but get one where the bend just hits the dorsal fin, go to BPS and measure. It's really important to get a weighted screw lock swimbait hook. If you don't no big deal get a drop shot weight, screw the hook in, put the weight on the hook, and thread the point through the top, so the weight hangs on the bottom. Another thing to do with the them is boil them til they get "sticky" dip them in the boiling after rigging for 30 second intervals, the softer they get the better.
  4. My brother fly fishes for bluegill all the time. Last year he had two giant bass (on seperate occasions) eat the bluegill and break off. I think the bass you're talking about are going after the bluegill and ending up with the fly. Still pretty cool when that happens.
  5. Use a 4" Berkely Gulp new penny shrimp, on a red or chart. jig head. Absolutely deadly for trout, flounder, reds and just about every other saltwater species. Experiment with some bass lures you don't really care about like buzzbaits, swimbaits, and spinner baits. Redfish and speckled trout are very similar to bass.
  6. I kinda thought about that.
  7. Hey guys I bought a SK 10 XD, and hate the color I bought (barfish). So I decided to go ahead and just re-paint it. The only problem is I can't decide what color to do. I'm considering baby bass, trout and firetiger. I have my own airbrush and have painted plenty of lures, I just need some inspiration. If you were to have a 10 XD custom painted what would you go with?
  8. 25lb. Suffix Siege or Big Game (mono). They are great lines for big swimbaits, in my opinion at least.
  9. No kidding isn't there something better to do in the great outdoors than looking for a loophole to get drunk?
  10. Big C replied to F14A-B's topic in Everything Else
No more Indiana teams left feels like the tourny is over. Kinda wish Grant didn't take the last four shots (all super long threes). Still great game.
  11. They might burst your bubble.
  12. 1/2 ounce tungsten bullet weight is heavier than a 1/2 ounce lead weight.
  13. Think about it this way. You say there's BIG fish in that lake right? Now there's BIG fish and trout. You need to get a swimbait rod and a hudd. It's like a mini Cali Delta.
  14. It would be pretty cool to use a sawed off baseball bat for a big swimbait rod. If you did that you could call your shot like Babe Ruth.
  15. I leave after I'm done fishing it.
  16. C'mon guys he wasn't scared. There was just a bunch of fish slime on that dock.
  17. Double prop buzzbait.
  18. Sabiki rigs are basically drop shots with multiple hooks, so casting and vertical jigging both work really well. I've always had great results using them, 9 times out of 10 catching the bait is just as fun as using them for bait. They catch basically every kind of baitfish, so don't worry about them not biting.
  19. At this point the only way for my thumb to look like that would be rubbing it on sandpaper.
  20. When I took my test I failed the parallel parking section and then I parked on and ran three cones over. When the lady stepped out of the car and told me I passed, I then realized why Georgia has the worst drivers. Don't worry about it if I passed you'll pass for sure. By the way, they won't tell you, but in GA. if you fail a section they let you try again, ask about that before you do it.
  21. Circuit boards would look sweet on those.
  22. "Match the Hatch" can also play a role. If all the black worms in your lake have blue sparkles use blue flake, if not go with red.
  23. The warranty progam was so messed up because they switched companies, and there was confusion about the new company honoring the old company's warranties. And about them breaking, I've heard that too (all the time) but, if you look you can find people breaking every other brand of rods (except Ugly Sticks). They really are great rods for a good price. Take it from somebody who has used one for over 4 years with no problems, I couldn't be happier. And they are super sensitive and light. Ducketts seem heavy compared to a Carrot Stick.
  24. I don't know what these guys are talking about. There is a HUGE difference between the two. Blk/blue is strictly for stained water (visibility about a foot). Blk/red is used only for slightly muddy water (visiblity no deeper than a ruler).
