  1. I used a swimbait the other day fishing. What was it you ask? A swimbait of course, do the research.
  2. I made a post on this epic thread.
  3. Nice, pretty awesome stuff too. That reel came just in time didn't it?
  4. This is what I call them. Swimbait=under 6" Big Swim=over 6"
  5. I take extreme care of my rods. They are stored in my room hung on a rod holder, with slack in the line so they don't stay bowed. My brother always makes fun of me, when we go fishing I stick them in my kayak and carefully strap them down for the car ride. He literally throws his in the back of the pick-up and keeps it on the front porch all the time, or he just leaves it outside in the dirt. Last year we got three inches of ice and his rod/reel was out in the ice storm for two or three days, and it was fine if my stuff was out there it would have been totaled.
  6. That's called swag.
  7. It says Storm on the bottom of the bill.
  8. I like this font. In green. And blue. If you like that font switch it back.
  9. What's the easiest way to tell a Pre-Rapala from a newer model? A guy gave me some stuff years ago, and I just realized I might have one. The only maker's mark on the bill is "Storm". It has the trademark giant yellow eyes, and awesome hunting action. There are also a few "defects" from the factory that makes me think it my be the older model. Any input is appreciated.
  10. Go with a Spro Rat. Hudd 68 is a good option too, I know it's soft plastic but it is incredible (and weedless).
  11. I hear you, typos always poop up in the worst places.
  12. #1 tip with night fishing: go when it's dark.
  13. I'll tell you what, if you really really want them, make them, or have someone make them for you. Make a mold, pour the lead, use the hooks you prefer, powder coat the head in the colors you choose, throw on your favorite blades, and a skirt. Making your own lures is pretty easy, fun, and highly rewarding. You can use them all the time and not have to worry about losing them, you'll have an infinite supply of them Go to Makelure.com for the mold making materials and instructions, and Jannsnetcraft for the hardware (hooks, wire, swivels, powder coating, eyes, skirts, beads, and clevices). You never know you might even be able to sell them eventually.
  14. Everytime I scroll by the thread I cringe.
  15. I don't even wear shoes fishing.
  16. Could it be a Terminator? I don't know how old the company is, but they have titanium arms and oddly shaped heads on their modern baits.
  17. Craw: Hudd Bug Creature: Ugly Otter Worm: Trick Worm Swimbait: Sick Fish
  18. I've actually never had Checkers or Rally's. When it comes to fast food Chick-Fil-A is by far the best.
  19. Just wear socks and sandals.
  20. Take a picture of a salamander from that lake, then match the color and length to something from Bass Pro or Tackle Warehouse. Use that on a shakey head or weightless. Or use a weedless swimbait, like a Sick Fsh
  21. Think about it this way you traded the Spurs for the Bobcats or are they the Hornets or the Slobcats? Anyway good trade right?
  22. "I think I just got a frostbite!"
