  1. I've had nothing but issues with Strike King lenses losing their coating by simply being in the rain. Go to clean them and they start flaking.
  2. Strike King sunglasses are trash. I've been through 3 pairs now! Can't get them wet or the lens coating comes off. Got caught in a rain storm and when I got home I put them up with out drying them off. Went to put them on the next morning and the one lens was missing almost all of its coating. 3rd time was the last time. No more money wasted on them.
  3. Got ya. Completely understand. I was just going off of a handful of comparisons between the Fuego Ct and the Tatula Ct. Some people just like the regular line guide I guess.
  4. Not really a huge Lew's fan. I'll give them a look though. Thanks.
  5. The Tatula CT looks alright. Doesn't grab me as much. Also heard that the t-wing is a take it or leave it thing. Not really worth the extra $20.
  6. Not a fan of Pflueger. I hear they are great reels but they aren't aesthetically pleasing to me.
  7. What's patience?? I'm afraid I don't know what that is and I'm afraid I don't have any of that....lol. For that price I can try though.
  8. Dang! All these EBay codes. Must have missed them....lol.
  9. As the title says. Been kicking around the idea of a new reel for my new rod. Will be used mostly for moving baits like smaller paddletails on spin heads and swim jigs. Like to keep it under $150 but I have glanced at a shimano Curado K a few times. Been eyeing up the shimano castitas or the diawa fuego ct. Thanks.
  10. Excited about the new Strike King 3.25 inch Rage Swimmers. They've been teasing them on Instagram. Can't wait to get them cause I feel like the 2.75 inch are just too small.
  11. Nope. Not too stiff at all. I throw small frogs and mice on it as well as sometimes 1/4oz jigs or worms with a 1/4oz weight in front of them.
  12. Def go with the FR735C! You wont regret it!
  13. You guys crack me up....lol. I had a sneaky suspicion that I fell under the powered classification but I wasn't 100% sure. Thanks everyone.
  14. Just wondering if anybody knows what the lighting requirement for PA is for a 14' jonboat. It's kinda unclear to me. Not sure if I need the red and green with the white in the back or just the white. I only go on electric only lakes so my boat only has trolling motors. Thanks.
  15. Not the perfect rod for frogging but it'll work. I've thrown frogs on my FR765FLIP. The best choice would be the FR735C. Perfect rod for frogs. Love all my Dobyns rods.
  16. Go with the Dobyns Fury FR765Flip. Hard to beat the price on a quality, quality rod. Love mine!
  17. Gonna replace the factory hooks on my Strike King 8XD's. Gonna put on the KVD Mustad 2x1 triple grips. What size should I put on? The factory hooks are 1/0. 2/0 seems like the logical choice but not sure.
  18. I always have threes rods rigged up when fishing grass or grass mats. A rod with a swim jig for the edges, a frog or mouse for the top, and punch weight with either a Texas rigged senko or creature bait. Start on the top, then the edges, then punch it. Figure out what's working best and go from there.
  19. I feel everything just fine with lead. Also i save a buttload on weights beings you end up looking so many of them. I do use Tungsten for everything else though.
  20. Kayaks. Nothing against kayaks in general cause we have a couple, but 90% of the people i run into on the lake in kayak has little to know care about anyone but themselves.
  21. Awesome!!! Soon you'll have a handful of them!...lol.
  22. Thanks for all your help. I appreciate it. By the way I was at Wal-Mart the other day and they had those Tour KVD 7'4" MH rods marked down to $50. I was tempted to grab one but I didn't....lol.
  23. Thanks man. I kinda figuring there would be a learning curve with the rod, but I didn't expect it to be that whippy.....lol.
