"Good" LMBass Fishing Days by Region Survey
The good size bass bite here in MI. has been terrible for me recently, so i would say any fish over 2 lb would be a success to the trip, currently that is. as for numbers im getting a little sick of catching 50 half lbers every trip, so that's why their not counting towards a successful trip for me.

Hooking Yourself
Never a self hook, but when i was younger and first getting into fishing, i was on the shoreline and wasn't paying attention to my surrounding all too well, my friend passed behind me at the same time that i was casting and SNAP! i thought i had snapped my 20 lb test and crankbait on the picnic table behind me, but instead it was the head of my friend. he had to get rushed to the hospital and have it removed, three hooks all past the barb, they had to make exit holes to push them out. i gave him a bunch of my lures as a "im sorry i hooked you in the head" but i still feel like crap about it to this day.

Feel like I missed the spawn

Do you have a routine game plan or do you just "Wing It"
if you haven't explored the whole lake for two years then you definitely need to expand, go fish every spot on the lake to get a feel for the depth and the type of vegetation it holds, and maybe on the way pull in a lunker or two. I personally can hit about half my lake in a day so i fish were I think they'll be at the time according to the time, weather, date, etc.

Favorite "follow up" bait
Wacky worm works most of the time, I can just jiggle it in their face and theirs a good chance they'll strike again. but with 12 misses on the sexy dawg they could just be hitting it, have you tried using a jerkbait as a follow up?

Hookset catchphrase?
same except both when I'm fishing with someone, by myself I usually don't say much.

Are we (you) genetically predisposed to fish?
I didn't learn how to fish until I was about 11, and even then it was from a friend I met when I moved. so needless to say I'm the only one in my family who even expresses an interest in fishing, let alone an addiction

Getting Discouraged
I have been in a rut the past few days also, been using all sorts of different lures and versions of the lures and can't get even one fish! I would say try deeper water and see if there still hiding in the depths, or maybe try something that's real slow like a wacky worm, that's what I'm going to have to do next trip out. Good Luck

Mental Funk
I love jugging, didn't know many others did it, sadly its illegal here in MI.

The Most Amazing Thing You've Ever Caught That Wasn't A Fish!
Same here on the turtles, sometimes impossible to unhook, and with $2 to $3 on my setup it can add up quickly.

Favorite perspective for fishing videos
i find it odd that everyone dislikes the mount that some of the highest rated fishing channels on youtube use, i for one like the chest mount, and i believe its more of a person's personality that makes me want to watch their videos rather than camera angle.

If it takes "10,000 hours to master something"...
being young and all I would say I'm about a little over 1,000 hours of bass fishing, another 500 or so of other species.

Strange Times
caught my PB by some lilies took some pics and released, then about two months later my friends dad caught the exact same fish on the complete other side of the lake, i could tell because there was a distinct red rash like thing on the fish, it lost a lb though so it wasn't as big when he caught it. not really strange but just really cool

What's The Most Challenging Thing You Find About Fishing
Most challenging: going to a spot where you almost know you'll catch something and getting skunked. most exiting: just knowing that your PB is swimming around in the lake somewhere, waiting to be caught.

Frog Fishing On A Windy Day
its very possible and sometimes even recommended, my technique is, i give it a few real hard tugs let it sit for a sec and repeat. i'm guessing its imitating a frog fighting the waves, then stopping it is the frog worn out and getting a breath to go again. i have caught many 3 to 4 pound bass using this technique on windy days. try it and see if it produces

Am I The Only One That..
I pike fish through the ice a little but it gets boring to me. so i organize tackle, read articles, and pretty much just prepare for next year. i try to keep my mind off it and do other hobbies or else it would drive me nuts.
