Sorry for the late response. I was using an ultralight rod with 6 pound mono and a wacky rig type of circle hook. i was originally fishing for other species when I saw them. Could you post a picture of what your rig looks like?

I have never carped fished before and found this canal that is about 25-40 feet wide with a lot of Carp in it. They usually travel around the surface in groups of 3-6. We tried making a bread ball and covering the hook with it and then casting at them but they wouldn't bite. Any ideas on what we could use to catch these fish?

I saw a nice Trout or Salmon running up a small creek recently. I was wondering what bait or lures you would recommend for fish that are running up the creek. Should I fish deep holes and hope there is some resting there or look for ones that are running and try to catch them. Thanks for any advice!

When I don't bring the camera I catch a big'un. I don't believe in the banana one. I have caught fish when I bring the banana.

Hi, I live in the Chequamegon Bay area. Do you think Largemouth will be on beds in inland lakes this weekend? Also when will the Bluegill head to there beds?

Did some Smallmouth fishing over the last 3 days! There was a lot of fish in shallow and on beds! Super fun fish! - I can't upload the pictures because it says you can only upload them if they are less then 7.1 MB or something like that.

Favorite has to be spook on top. There is nothing like a big smallie exploding on a spook.

I love wacky rig and I also love pink colors. The fish seem to destroy it sometimes! Sounds like a great morning!

Oh yeah I could beat him fair and square at any lake any time. Even if I had to use an ice fishing rod with 4 pound test.

If the lakes were not all frozen and there was not much snow on the ground I would definitely try. I can't fish at all in the winter.

What I would do is just not fish there anymore unless I was just going fishing to catch a few and keep them to eat. I wouldn't really do any of the options on this poll. Just my two cents.

I think you are talking about the Rebel crickhopper or Rebel bumble bug. I have one of the grasshoper kind. I have caught a lot of bluegills on it and a few bass. Also have got some trout.

Those are some beautiful fish guys! Trout fight so hard!

What a dumb law. I don't see the point in ruining such a good fishery. I sure hope that never happens anywhere near where I fish.
