  2. Now, now, don't worry your pretty little heads about me. I know better than to use lighter fluid for propellant. Thats not good enough for me, I use gasoline! lol JK
  3. And there you have it. : ? Your not supposed to start a sentence with "and". It shouldn't be "Your" it should be "You're" I have to say the biggest problem is peer pressure. Having good morals, working hard, and striving to excel is frowned upon.
  4. We keep it at my friends house, and they have 16 acres of woods and fields. So theres plenty to space to let'er'rip Right now Im experimenting with different p
  5. Me and my friends built a potato gun yesterday and, boy, it sure is lots of fun! It shoots a potato with a noise comparable with a shotgun! We didnt have a sparker so we made a touchhole with a fuse. So you fire it just like a cannon lol. This adds a little suspense waiting for it to go off. Anybody else ever make one?
  6. I started playing the banjo about a month and a half ago. Its pretty easy to learn and lots of fun! Get the best banjo you can afford, its worth it.
  7. putting inmates to work instead of them sitting on their behinds is a great idea!
  8. I love mountain biking although I mostly do road biking. Here is a mountain bike I built last winter. I got three good bikes in horrible condition, salvaged the parts, built it up, and ended up with this beast (turned out amazing! Not to hijack the thread or anything, but here is the road bike I'm using now. I got it in August of last year and so far, and just from riding to school everyday, it has 18,000 miles on it. (not including other useage)
  9. Whats the furthest you've ever gone to retrieve a lure? Here was today's: The people present started laughing (thats why the camera started shaking) and I started laughing (I had a knife in my mouth). Rendered helpless with laughter, I lost control and was forced to retreat. Second attempted was a success and I retrieved 2 weights, a Gamy hook and a trick worm: without even getting my boxers wet. BTW That is known as the "sloth" maneuver. lol Its worked many times for me.
  10. spring chicken
  11. Roadwarrior I'd sleep easy a nights knowing he was in charge of things.
  12. How come "invisible" red lines cant be seen under water, But "bloody" red hooks stand out? :-/ I'll stick to the clear stuff. Isn't clear the closest thing to invisible? ~MG
  13. X-rap is one of the best lures you can get for its price IMHO. It slays bass and works even better for pickerel. Must have! ~MG
  14. I just tie any old knot through the ports in my spool. My logic behind this is, if I get a fish big enough to strip off 150yrds of line, he will be big enough to snap any knot once it gets to the end. However, better safe than sorry. I would definitely try the knot Alpster posted. And if your using braid make sure you use mono backing. (put some mono on before the braid) Braid is too slick and will slip around on the spool, and that is not good. ~MG
  15. I got a Abu SC that casts senkos and even weightless 6.5" trick worms just fine and dandy. some baitcasters can cast light baits better than you'd think. I know I was surprised when I switched to casting from spinning.
  16. heres one I made up myself: April Showers Bring Bass Spawners that was three years ago and so far its been proven true for me :)lol
  17. I got myself a Powell Max from ***.com last August and all I can say about it is that its amazing! First off, I got it in Med/Hvy, Extra Fast 6ft 8in, and I love it. This gives you backbone for hook sets, soft tip for cranks/whatnot, and basically is the most versatile dimensions I've ever seen on a rod. It handles it all, and for guys like me who like to use one rod, that is really handy. If I ever get a better rod I'll be sure to get that type. Secondly, This rod is super light and sensitive, and handles beautifly. I love the cork set up and with my Abu Garcia SC on it it fits me like a glove. I've handled alot of other rods in this price range and so far I like how the Powell feels best. Comparing it with the Steez (which I've only ever held) I'd have to say its right up there. I know that Powell rods are not that popular so I'm just giving you guys a heads up. If your looking for a rod in the 200 range I would highly recommend them. Also if you looking for a rod that is very versatile try to get one in Med/Hvy Ex/Fast and ideally in 6'8" or in that near vicinity. I use all sorts of baits, jigs, plastics, topwater, jerkbaits and spinnerbaits mostly , and it hasn't disappointed me once in any of these. When I first got the rod I was so sure but now that I've had it for a considerable amount of time I'm hooked! lol. heres the first one (of many) I got using the combo: Just thought I'd throw that info out there. Any comments guys? Hope its helpful to somebody ~MG

  22. I've done some woodburning. I've done some pictures and a checkerboard, but thats about it. Its really fun and it smells really good lol
