Best Performing Spinning Reel Brand - With Braid ?
I just noticed the casting distance part of your question. I've used about every spinning reel out there over the years and I don't think that there is a difference between brands. I also don't think the shimano beveled edge spools make a difference at all. Now a larger diameter spool will definitely outcast a smaller one no matter what the brand. Your rod action/length and line diameter make a big difference also.

Best Performing Spinning Reel Brand - With Braid ?
I'm definitely not a fan of shimano reels but in my experiences their spinning reels have the best line management, Daiwa spinning reels have great line management also. Never have wind knots or loops when using braid on my stradic fjs or my certates. My presidents will have a knot every once in a while no matter how hard i try and make sure that I never have slack line after closing the bail.

Buying Reels On Ebay?
I've bought a bunch of new reels on ebay from good sellers and never had a problem. No way would I ever buy a used reel on ebay though.

Is A Shimano Stella Worth The Money
They are good reels but they are nearly impossible to find new or even in any condition at all.

Is A Shimano Stella Worth The Money
The certates are an absolute steal at under 300 dollars. I will definitely be buying more of them soon. My 2500 is the smoothest spinning reel I've ever touched.

Lews& Abu Revos,same Internals?
What about the brakes? Are they identical?

Lews& Abu Revos,same Internals?
Ok so which revo are my bb1 pros comparable to? To say that lews are so popular and have no problems because they have a huge pro staff of trollers pushing their reels may be the absolute dumbest thing I've ever read.

Citica I: Am I Missing Something?
So where are the better bearings located on the curado? Curado lists 3 s-arb bearings and 2 stainless steel bearings. The citica lists 5 stainless steel bearings.

Citica I: Am I Missing Something?
I've posted this numerous times now in the other threads like this. A double anodized spool just means it has two different colors on it. It is in no way superior to the citica spool, just a way to add a color.

Citica I: Am I Missing Something?
There's another thread on here about this. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/158599-shimano-citica-i/ I wondered the same thing. The only real difference I see so far is the curado lists 3 S-arb bearings and 2 stainless steel bearings. The citica lists 5 stainless steel bearings.

Messed Up, Looking For Lew's Replacement Parts
I've had great experiences wit daiwa customer service in the past, but the last few times it's been a hassle. Same thing with shimano, they used to have good customer service but not anymore.

Messed Up, Looking For Lew's Replacement Parts
They do have the best customer service. I've only had to get three parts from them in the past but they sent me each part for free all three times!! No hassle or arguing, no wanting you to send the reel in to them so they can "look" at it like Shimano and Diawa.

Contact Lew's. I've had nothing but great experiences with their customer service.

Is A Shimano Stella Worth The Money
I have that same certate reel and the regular certate13 2500. Both are rock solid reels and by far the best spinning reels I've used. I've never used a twin powe, but I've owned a stella fe and two sustain fgs and the certates are better in my opinion.

Shimano Citica I
Yep, and still nobody seems to care about the actual differences between the two reels. Isn't that all that really matters? How can someone debate about which reel is worth the price when they don't know the actual difference between the two? From what I've found searching so far the only difference is the box for the curado lists 3 s-arb stainless steel bearings and 2 stainless steel bearings. The citica box lists 5 stainless steel bearings. The line guide is also a different color, but weather or not it's a different material I'm not sure. Also the citica doesn't seem to be available in the low gear ratio. If those are the only differences and the citica price gets near 100 bucks I'll be buying a few.

Shimano Citica I
So why the curado i better? Just because it says curado?

Need A Spinning Rod To Throw Small Crankbaits And Rat-L-Traps
I'll second the falcon bucoo. I have two of them, great rods for the price. They will LAUNCH a small crankbait. I just wish falcon would make some fast action spinning models in the bucoo lineup.

Shimano Citica I
All I can think of is why would shimano make two identical reels at a different price. I've yet to hear a believable difference between the two reels besides color.
-
Shimano Citica I
I'm also not convinced of your two other differences. Those handles look identical to me, the tackle tour review also said the handles were identical. Where did you get the machined vs cast handle info? I also thought(and I may be wrong) that the difference between s-arb and arb bearings is that the arb's don't have a shield and the s-arb's do. So the new citica doesn't have shielded bearings? I'm not trying to bash anyone, just trying to figure out the exact difference between the two reels.

Shimano Citica I
I was just trying to point out that double compared to single anodizing is merely a cosmetic difference. Some people may take "double anodized" as being more durable. The frame on the citica is a different color. That is also a difference then, but not really.
-
Shimano Citica I
You do realize that a "double" anodized spool just means they added a second color, the black stripe in the center of the curado spool. It's not like it's more corrosion resistant than the citica spool.

Lews Tournament Lite Speed Spool Or Shimano Ci4+
I feel the total opposite. I haven't liked any shimano reel since the curado and chronarch d series and the calais. The gears get rough way too fast.

Schematics
Well if you count the number of bearings listed on that part sheet they total 9. Does the handle knob have a bearing? That would make 10 if it does. Which of the bearings shown on the schematics aren't actually on the reel?
