Hello guys, I'm kinda confused right now. I just picked up a humminbird 898c si unit. I would like to purchase a map chip but don't have a clue on which one is right for me. I fish mainly Everglades canals, south Florida canals and okeechobee. I was looking into the chips but it seems that they only cover okeechobee. I just want some that will show me where I can go without getting into trouble and go out and it will tell me how to get back in(incase I don't remember). I have navionics on my phone and it does a great job but the water I fish they aren't detailed except okeechobee. Thanks for any input, all appreciated. Tight lines.

Going to Saturday and Sunday. Who has been going and how has it been. Usually Saturday I find the pattern then Sunday I fish like a tournament. Any recommendations what to throw? thanks

I agree with Wanye P. it depend on how much you want to spend. I would recommend to go to BPS or a big box store where they have them on display so you can see and feel them. Also I like to look on classified for used ones at a great price. good luck

For me starting a two stroke up in the morning you will get smoke and a lot. But you say it's blue, this does not seem normal, I think you have to much oil. Try mixing less and see how it smokes. It needs to be a thick white smoke. If it's thinks and white your 100% good. Good luck

I would buy used because you do save a lot of money. There might be a small leak but it's super easy to fix. There's a lot of vids on YouTube. Just make sure you test before you buy. For trolling motor I would buy a minnkota, I haven't had luck with BPS. also bigger is better. Remember, it might be bigger but it will use less effort to push the boat causing less battery usage. For stability I'm not to sure about it, I fish vhaul and flat bottoms and they seem pretty similar. Good luck.

Ever looked into storm bass boats? Custom builds and in your price range. There 21 foot and go 60mph with a 150hp. I have a 1994 with 2000 yami 225 hits 75mph all day. Only boat I would get would be a new storm. Also rides rough water like a champ.

The humminbird helix 5 G2 had autochart live if your willing to downsize the screen. Also if you wait they might be coming out with a helix 7 G2 that would have autochart live.

If it's lead/acid, open the covers on the top with a flat head. Dispose properly of what's inside. Go to auto part store and buy new battery acid. I think it's $10 a bottle. Pour in in until over the metal in the battery. Give a full charge on 2 amps. Should be good to go.

Hello, I want to stick some lights underneath my trailer. I live in Florida. I know you cannot have any lights but I was thinking to put amber strip lights in front of the tires, maybe 6' ft or so. And the. Put red strip behind the tires, maybe a foot. I was just going to hook them up to running light. I couldn't find and info out. Maybe y'all have done this. Thanks for any input

I fish Florida canals at all time with some lakes. I do like spinning rods for most time and can get away with it. I was going to invest in one nice combo with a shimano Stradic ci4+ 3000 size on a number 8 tackle co. *** medium or medium heavy. I mainly fish light Texas rigs because of all the Lilly's and weeds in the water. I do have a baitcaster I use for a lot of heavier things like jigs and spinner baits. I was just wondering if that rod and reel are good together or for some reason the rod or reel are made for only finesse applications only. I am going to throw most every thing but nothing to heavy. Also don't know what rod size to go with. Thank you all.

I was looking to get a new Lew's tournament mg 7.1-1 gr but they don't make them no more and can find them for retail b/new. Should I pay more or should I get a Lew's tournament mb or a Lew's speedspool LFS. thank you.

Thanks to all that helped me. I was thinking of getting a pfluger president with a $100 rod and that's what I think I might do. Now if you have any recommendations on rods that would be wonderful. I want a 3000 size because I like to do some inshore.
