Flipping/Pitching
Mh-xf is enough for that. 7'6 is plenty long also. For punching i use a 7'6 heavy mod-fast and ive never felt like i need something bigger

Shimano NASCI 2500 vs. 3000
What this guy said, i have about 6 different baitcaster brands and i love all of them. From shimanos to okumas and quantums. Buy for my spinning gear i only use shimano. Other brands spinning reels feel cheap to me. A $80 dollar reel from any other brand feels like a $29 shimano sienna to me.

6'8 shimano compre medium rod question
Anyone have this rod? In a casting model. Lure weight says 1/8-1/4. It also says medium fast. It looks to me as if its more of a medium light. I was gonna use it for flukes, senkos, light spinnerbaits and maybe tubes. But its probably too light? I now they also make an extra fast version but im not a big fan of extra fast rods. If anybody have this rod please chime in. If asked for suggestions here before and it has always worked out good. Thanks again!

Question on shimano zodias
I have other zodias rods and they are my favorites. For punching i was looking at the 7'2. For light plastics and weightless senkos i was looking at the 6'10. You think it will work for that?

Question on shimano zodias
I know the lure ratings on these rods, i just rather hear opinions from people who have these before i pull the trigger
-
Question on shimano zodias
I have 2 questions. First, does anybody here have the 7'2 heavy zodias? Is it enough for punching 1oz weights? Second, im also looking at the 6'10 medium but i see it has a moderate tip. What is that rod specifically made for? I usually use fast action rods.

Not a convert but...
