  1. Thanks a ton guys, it means a lot to hear the kind words from everybody. Baby is still healthy as ever, and man does she ever like to eat. All night long last night, ha ha. I'm in for a rude awakening, but I LOVE IT!! Mom is doing great as well. Still sore around the incision, but otherwise she feels great, and likes to get up and walk around some, helps her feel better. I told her, "Avid gives his best to you and Korynn", she said, "Oh great, now your fishing rods are talking to you!"..... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I had to explain it to her, it was great! Well, i'm off back to the hospital. We'll be bringing everyone home friday. Can't wait! Jason
  2. Wow, what can i say guys, i'm the proudest papa in the world!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D We had a absolutely beautiful baby girl, healthy as a horse! We had to have a c-section about 6:00 last night, as my wife was not dialating past 4cm. Also the baby was not coming down like she should have. When they pulled her out, they saw the umbilical cord around her neck, so that's why she wouldn't come down. Mama is doing great, a little sore, but to be expected. Here are a few quick pics as i just stopped home to shower and eat some decent food, ha ha. I'd like to introduce everyone to Korynn Louise Ball, 7lbs - 0.6oz, 20.5" long Proudest papa in the world Mama and baby in recovery Our new family!
  3. you have to keep them on a steady "buzzing" retrieve or hopping retrieve to keep them on top. Sometimes the best thing to do is slide it over some pads or other vegetation and let it drop and sink into holes as you come across them. Jason
  4. We're off to the hospital!! Checking in the wife tonight, then she's getting induced tomorrow at 5am! This is our first child, and we're super excited!! I feel like a child myself, on the night before Christmas. My next report should hopefully include some pictures of our bundle of joy. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! Jason

  13. I use one like this, but as you said, i fish from a boat so it's usually not a problem to get one back, but at $7, it might be a good thing to try for you. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44428_100011005_100000000_100011000_100-11-5 Jason

  16. Finally got a chance to get out on the lake with dad, and probably the last chance for at least a couple weeks as my wife is being induced on Monday morning 8-) Got on the water about 7:30am. The water was amazingly already 59degrees. We had no idea it was so warm already. We went to the west side of the lake as we figured it would be the warmest and the fish would be up shallow, with the males possibly getting ready to start the beds. I pulled this one at 8:00, off a large grass flat in about 3' of water, burning a Chrome/Blue Back Strike King Red Eye Shad. Would be my only fish of the day. Dad ended up with only 1 fish as well at about 1:00 on a Firetiger Bagley BB2 off a rock point in about 2' of water. We tried finding some beds, but that proved pointless in about 5 minutes as the water was very stained, couldn't see anything. We tried everything to catch fish today, shakey heads, I had 1 bite on a jig, t-rigged lizards, senkos, spinnerbaits, everything, just couldn't get them to bite. The storm last night might have had something to do with it. Oh well, was just great to finally get on the water again. Jason
