  5. Do you have any medium size swimbaits? If so, try those. If you dont and would like to purchace some, I would recomed the Huddleston Weedless Shad, or the Bull Shad Swimbait. Even though their is no cover, i would recomend a small topwater frog, and cast it right up agent the basnks. ~Ish
  6. I do it with a Daiwa V-Shock Combo- 6 pound mono.... never had one break off! I don't do the same setup as most, thats for sure.
  7. You say what i did it the topic i started! Wire, hook, pliers/wirecutters. pretty simple, and you will hook up if they grab it.
  8. If you go back out to fish for them, I have a particular lure that I consistantly catch Bowfin on regardless of conditions. It is the Rebel Jupin Minnow in Bone White. Of course some days will be better than others, but every time I go to the spot where i know thier is Bowfin(for me its the St. Marys River In Florida) I have used this lure and at least had a few bites, and usually hook up. I have also caught Bass, and Longnose Gar on it, but mainly use it to target the Bowfin. They run about $4-$5 online, and they are very consistant for catching Bowfin.
  9. Man, your ltteraly the "Hair Jig" version of Butch Brown!

They have nice catfish if you fish a rig on bottom for the kids , and try frogs+jigs but most of all pick up green pumpkin senkos and fish it wackey or weightless/small weight texas rigged But fish around the lily pads, trust me theirs big bass their!
