  1. I have tried the Walking Worms and caught fish, but i guess its time to try the Snake... I'll probably order some this summer, and try them out at a pond up the road. You never know, it might actually catch a fish.
  2. Hey now, quit making fun of these Snake Lures! they catch the big ones.
  3. The Banjo Minnow! Or the Walking Worm? Their kinda at a tie for...................................................................................................................... The biggest gimmik ever.
  4. Any of you guys fish the Jacksonville FMA's or state managed ponds? Oceanway pond, Bethesda pond, Pope Duval ponds, Hannah Park.....? I hit Bethesda FMA May 2 and landed an 8#er. She was my PB. So what you Jax bassers doing around these ponds?
  5. No joke- i have some walking worms, and they do catch bass! I think people just underestimate them because they think they come from some gimmik company. ~ish
  6. Basszila don't got to much on you either!
  7. Check out Hannah Park, its right where you are. It has several ponds with big bass, I'd try worms, Frogs(where theirs cover), and Jigs. if you look at a map, their is a big pond(20+acres) and a couple small ones, the small ones are less pressured and have better floating grass cover. The Park is literally probably less than 15-20 mins away! Look it up.
  8. have not tried yet, just made it a day ago. But i'm working withit so that it will be weedless. Keep an eye out this next week for a post in Fishing Reports about this lure.
  9. Basszila don't got much on you my friend!
  10. I know about those, i even made one similar for a popper frog that has a single skirt, I made these for free instead of paying $6 each for ...... 3, thats $18 bucks that i saved and could make plenty more. But i might buy that and get the same frog/with same pattern that was shown in the image and do a commparison to see which catches more fish/or which looses the least.
  11. They are 11' long but they catch big bass.
  12. Yep those are different, check out the ones im talking about http://bassprofessor.com/
  13. Swimbait, I COULD CATCH THE WORLD RECORD!................ Or at least I keep dreaming
  14. I have seen this lure, and read great reviews about it catching big bass but it has not been picked up by many angler. By that i mean it has not been recognized for much at all? It is called The Snake By TheBassProfessor. It is a topwater snake that comes in Brown, Black, and Albino White. The few people to use this lure have good pics to show of their catches, and a man from south africa has caught a 18#er on it in 2007. Check out this link to read more on the big bass- bassprofessor.com/BassBlog/professors-blog/near-world-record-largemouth-bass-caught-on-the-snake/ The inventor of this bait Doug Hannon has caught 800 10+ pound bass on it. I have yet to try this bait, but intend to soon. Have any of you tried it, or heard of it? What do you think about this lures abillity to catch big fish?
  15. I was tinkering around with my lures and decided to make some trailor hooks. Just used some electric wire with a 3-4 ot hook attatched to each pre existing hook. Sorry the photos arnt so good quality.
  16. 1/8oz size Rooster Tail(should catch all species of smaller size and can be used for ice fishing with the eception of carp) Bull Shad Swimbait( should catch Predatory fish of all sizes) Rapala Skitter Walk Spook(Great when fish want a topwater presentation( all species)
  17. I no what your saying, I'm getting some gift cards from #TrophyCatch to Bass Pro/Dicks Sporting Goods. So hopefully i can get a Duckett Ghost
  18. By the way, are all your combos(on deck) Ghost's? Or Micro Guides
  19. Ya, I agree with all of you in your senarios, but i'm fishing from the bank, and I try to go to parts around a river or lake that very few have gone to(Heavy brush, thorns, just annoying crap) and can't really cary more than one maybe two rods along with my back pack. But if I was in a boat, i would probably have 4-6 combos. I would definatly prefer Ducket rods with Abu Reels though, which I think Slefler has all Ducket rods too. I'm actually thinking about getting a new 1) Duckett MIcro Guide 7'2(maybe a 7'6) Medium Heavy Fast Casting Rod with an Abu Garcia Revo Winch for all around use it for everything. or 2) a Duckett Goast 7'3 Heavy Fast Casting Rod with and Abu C4 or a Shimano Cardiff for Swimbait, Punching, A-Rig(for the river), and frogs. But like i said the only reason i only use one combo is that i can realisticly only cary "1".
  20. Shameful amount of non resourcefulness... Have i ever shared my fishing arsenal... Which includes: one combo, a backback of baits, a scale, and yet i catch 8# bass, and have better days than most on this fourum! Why would you spend hundreds of dollars for all these combos, when you can use one for everything(and never break damage or mess up) and take 1 minute to tie on a bait?
  21. #1 Ducket Micro Guides 7'6 MH fast 6.4-1 Abu Revo Beast
  22. So far I "LANDED" an 8# For all you land fisherman like me- you don't need a bass boat with all the extaments to catch Big, Pig bass. "Just a Fishing Rod, a Scale, and a Backpack of Baits." Ish
  23. Caught these last weekend( plus 2 more, and missed 6 others. all in 10-15 minutes.Thats a bite a minute!), This frog works, and every bass will take it- no matter the size. Its cheap too! Ish
  24. A 10 in' culrly tail worm. Its versitile- You can fishit on bottom, in the middle, on top, and you can een punch mats with a heavy enough wieght. Its changeable- You can always down size a 10 in' worm, bet can't upsize a 6-7 in' worm It's recycleable- You can get a single mold for that bait, and every time it gets worn out just melt it and remold it. You'll never have to by replacements, or very few! Ish
