Any one try Rat swim/wake baits?

Expensive~ no dout! Some of them swimbaits go $200

Neat idea, But anyone use them with lighter braid- #20-#30

I have a 12" sit in Kayak that's not to stable, even while sitting. Do you Kayakers' have any cheap mods' to improve the stability of my yak? Its pretty nice for the price, and i soon want to get a $100-$130 fish finder to put on it. Maybe even figure out how to a small tolling motor on too! But anyway, if any of you can give me suggestion of how to do this, and better yet post pics of your modifications of any type that would be awesome.

A week ago i kept playing with some little guys in a pond, kept hitting my frog(around 10:30 pm) but would never commit! Awesome Bass, good job. ~ hey catch them in the rain if we have to!

I'm telling you! That 8 pounder i caught was not even when i was targeting them. I was fishing with cutbait for catfish! ~ weird

My PB so far. Caught at a local Jax pond in Fl. She weighed 8.0# SHE's A PIG. I didn't loose one, but i did see one at the same pond that was #13+ after the spawn. Her- i just couldn't get her attention. Thats about as close as i came to loosing one.

I guess i agree, The Storms are pretty cheap, and i know for a fact that you always get what you pay for... when it comes to fishing. I made up my mind on what i'm going to purchase. Thanks for the info, i really like the Real Prey Shiner and the Hud 68+ the grass minnow i think its called look appealing from my perspective and have been known to catch big bass. But now is the time to throw the #swimmers since the bass are guarding their Fry/ hatchlings and are are super aggressive towards Bream/Shiners/big Shad.

I had the tape measure about 1 in. back from the tip of her mouth- user error- didn't even see that i had messed it up until my friend showed me. But you can tell that tape was short at the mouth. Even then, weighed and verified on scale- #8.0

We all have heard or used giant swimbaits in the past, and i'm talking 8-12 inches. But do the same "craved patterns" that work for #Butch Brown and anglers in western lakes, also work for eastern states? The most craved swimbait is probably the Hud-Swimbait, in trout colors.If you need to ask why your way behind the game. My problem with this is, eastern states don't have trout- but will a bass still find this appetizing? Their is always the option for spending $$$$ for DEPS swimbaits in a variety of common fish patterns found throughout the country. But those baits are out of the option for the common man. What do you think for color pattern throughout the nation specifically eastern states? Does it matter? And most importantly, do they catch fish? #ButchBrown#HuddlestonTroutSwimbait

I like the shaky heads/idea #the reel ess but have never really bought them. But #catt what are spot removers, i can look it up but am already on the blog?

Spots like that slowly dicinigrate-productivity wise, least for me. But fish it nonfrequently, and make it last longer! With real clear water, try medium size swimbaits while the bass are guarding their fry of this year. They really hate the bluegill/shiners trying to eat their hatchlings/fry. Nice catch, Keep the photos coming. (seriously though, when the bass eggs hatch and their guarding them, use the bream imitating swimbait.)

Guys iv'e been wanting to give my trick worms a greater attraction to the bass and now i have it! When i use trick worms i usually fish it with a 1/8 oz. weight and hop it off the bottom, when i do this it will stand up for a brief second then slowly fall flat. But i have an idea to keep it up in the water and give it more action. Just simply insert a little air in the tail with a needle, and you have a weighted worm that stands upright! Tell me if i'm wrong, but this might be the new thing that bass haven't seen yet and will go after. Zoom worms claim to be floating, but even weightless rigging still sink slowly. I have yet to try it but when i do, and any of you do, i'll open a topic in Fishing Reports and we'll share our results. But for now tell me what you think and if it should produce fish! Lets here it.

Just joined today, and this an awesome forum for good ole' fishing folks. I love to bass fish Jacksonville Florida area, and i use a few basic lures so far. Jigs, trick worm, frogs, 10 in. worms, trying new things as they come along! I hope to have a good time sharing my catches, and sharing what works and where!

Awesome sportsmanship! My buddy was using a natural bait under a bobber and hooked some fishing line, when he reeled it in their was a 3lb bass attached to it! We got a free tungton weight/+hook out of the catch. She probably would have survived but it was still nice we got it out of her mouth, + we got to tell the ladies we saved a fishes life lol.

Just go back and read "bassfisherboy"s original post on this... he's acting like the "guy" he knows just sent him a text of this bass, and just took info of this sight! I'm getting a laugh out of this. Lets see what he says when we message him. He obviously hasn't replied to his post since we figured it out.
