How Good Do Bass, Bluegill, Etc Taste?
Best way to take care of your fish is when you catch it is to first quickly dispatch it. The quickest and least painful to the fish(least messy) is a quick hard knock on the head- they are imediately dead. Next like you said, place them on ice(if you can), especialy if you intend to save them for several hours. you don't have to, but it keeps the flavor, and ensures that it has not spoiled. Ish

Bass Slaying With Frogs
Lol Please don't tell me how to treat/hold a fish. I do respect all animals, and if i don't intend to eat it i make sure I treat it with respect. And trust me, a bass has never spoke to a human and said this hurts me when you hold me this way, and if they did, they would probably say can you not hook me, it hurts also. So if you don't mind, don't tell me how to handle a dead fish(was already dead) that i plan to eat tommorow . Thanks, for the exta comment, you contributed to this becoming a hot topic! Lol

Bass Slaying With Frogs
well look up frog trailer hooks, and try to get a set. i'm only using a light spinning combo(6lb mono) with a little Wali world frog. you don't need much to winch them out. But try this frog, they have them at wal mart, and they are a smaller package. heres what they look like on the frog these fit all size frogs try these smaller size frogs, i caught all my bass on it. and i lost some to but the trailer hook should help.

Tough Bites Or Easy Bites ?
Well, when it comes to the good days when everyone has a decent bag and you need a 25+# bag to do it, it really just comes down to luck! Whoever gets to put their bait infront of the big one! So really its anyones game. On the tough days it's strickly skill, what do you know that the other anglers don't to catch fish in those conditions? If i had a chance i'd fish the tough conditions, and pull out some secret baits, and find the cover!

They were dead for a little while, thats why their eyes look like that. But normaly I just bass fish for fun, not for food, but tommorow is a special exception!

Least Versatile Lure?
Real deal Crawfish Cranks, and Rattle Traps. Because, bass seriously feed on these little guys for a specific time period, and when there not actively feeding on them it gets tough to get a constant bite. To understand when to use Craw imitating baits, you have to know when the craws are out and about.February through May is the first major period of crawfish activity, based on geographic location. When the water temperature reaches approximately 50 degrees, crawfish emerge into the great wide open and begin looking for receptive females. Many of the emerging crawfish males and females are still sexually active from the previous fall. What's significant about this two to three week period in spring (depending on rising water temperature), is that it's one of the few times males walk on top of rocks, exposing themselves to bass. which is why this is the prime time to catch bass with these lures. So during the spring when the water temp starts to reach 50 degrees the craws come out to breed and the bass take advantage of this and munch down. Now just make sure your lure is the one they eat! You can also tell when the bass are feeding on them by the color of their gums/teeth. They usually seem to be a redish color when their feeding on them. I hope this helps, and in my opinion is the bait that depends mostly on the water conditions(for the crawfish) and the time of year to slay them with it. Also read this topic, it goes hand & hand with what i'm saying. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/80469-red-teeth/
