  1. Problem with that is McGregor is very likely to lose to Diaz again. I don't see him beating Edgar either. Edgar is a smart and well-rounded fighter. He will kill McGregor on the ground and McGregor's camp knows that. I would like to Aldo again as well. As much as he denies it, Aldo had way too much emotion going into that fight and is usually a lot smarter when he fights. McGregor's next four fight looks something like Diaz, Edgar, Aldo and Dos Anjos. All four fights he has a good chance of losing. Dana White is just trying to milk the hype before it disappears. Far too many top contenders are starting to get screwed and even champions that deserve a rematch because Dana White only cares about money.
  2. I used to use the double most of the time, but have since went to the normal San Diego Jam knot. Excellent knot for fluorocarbon in my opinion.
  3. I have had tremendous success using this technique. One of my favorite things to fish now.
  4. Not sure how much you follow MMA, but Frankie Edgar has been in line for a title shot for the past two years. The guy always brings it whether he wins or loses. He was promised a shot before McGregor talked his way into the fight with Aldo and promised the winner after he destroyed Mendes. No way McGregor beats him after Diaz exposed his ground game even more. Mendes exposed it first and was dominating until he gassed because of a short camp. Edgar would dominate him on the ground and Aldo probably would too in a rematch. I don't think McGregor walks out with the featherweight belt against either one. He has an awesome stand up game, but MMA is way too advanced these days and being great at one thing doesn't carry you near as much as it did in the past. Perfect example is the recent shake up in the women's division. Boxing trumps judo, but wrestling trumps boxing.
  5. Diaz brought the house down. I'm almost positive McGregor wanted the fight at 170 so he would have an excuse if he lost. Hopefully now Edgar gets his long deserved shot at the belt. Rousey will likely come back now because she sees Tate as an easy opponent. But just like Tate was a bad matchup for Holm, Holm is a terrible matchup for Rousey. Think Holm deserves a rematch before Rousey since she lost the fight in the last two minutes.
  6. I have been wanting to pick up some Swing Impact Fats and some Moaner hooks to try out soft swimbaits and can't decide on what colors to pick up. The waters I fish are mostly stained from slight to moderate. Wondering what colors you guys have the most success with. I am looking to grab around three different colors. Green pumpkin, black and french pearl came to mind, but they have some interesting colors.
  7. Congratulations and nice bass!
  8. I think one of the main selling points for sponsors is what you can do for them to help bring exposure and revenue in. The first thing I noticed that jumped out when I first read that was basically what the company could do to help you. I would consider it similar to a job interview, they already know what they can do for you and are mostly interested in what you can bring to them.
  9. I would go with MH. The majority of my Ducketts are MH, but I fish cover mostly. My worm and jig rods are both 7'2" MH rods in the Micro Magic Pro line. Very versatile rods that can be used for numerous techniques.
  10. Fishing the Midwest is good too. Tacklejunkie was a great reference when I got into doing maintenance on my reels. Some of you might actually be surprised how much money can be made from doing videos or streaming. There are people on Twitch who make $40K a month from revenue and donations just streaming while gaming and chatting with viewers.
  11. That's insane. I would never get a jig wet with that many options. My OCD would be mind blown.

We got some nasty rain and cooler temperatures. A few tornadoes touched down in surrounding areas and did some damage though.
  13. Bladed jigs are quickly becoming a favorite of mine when it is really windy.
  14. The Okeechobee Fats packs are a bargain for what they retail for in my opinion and are well made. They have a ton storage and a lot of compartments to let you organize things which is what I prefer rather than gimmicky options most fishing specific backpack or packs tend to have. I was impressed after I decided to pick up one and try it out. There is a few videos on YouTube of the TW backpack that you might be interested in. Also a lot of brands that aren't fishing specific that make very durable backpacks with a ton of storage when you get into the price range of some of those you listed. Worth looking around before you limited yourself to fishing brands.
  15. The problem with fishing backpacks is that they are tailored for specific things. It is hard to find a backpack that has compartments exactly how you might prefer them. I find most packs tailored to fishing waste a lot of space and have useless components that I would rather not have. Nowadays you can find backpacks with an insane amount of storage that will come in a lot more handy than a binder that has been sewn in. There are some really durable backpacks on the market today. While not a backpack, the Okeechobee Fats packs that can be found at Walmart and most fishing stores are really nice for the price. I picked up the large one that holds 3700 cases and can store about fourteen 3600 cases in it with a ton of room left in all the side pockets. The small or medium could make a nice pack to carry around while bank fishing. Lots of options out there and it is probably best to pick a backpack that fits your specific needs and tackle.
  16. Thanks guys, it has been an awesome start to the year. I must say I have learned a tremendous amount from these forums in the past couple months.
  17. Beautiful! Looks like a great place to fish.
  18. Decided to go fishing yesterday, weather was cloudy and the wind was blowing pretty hard. Tried a few different things and got one bite around sunset. This girl was caught on a custom 1/2 ounce white and chartreuse spinner I got from @Siebert Outdoors. Skipped it under the pier and started a slow roll retrieve and that's all she wrote. 7.03 pounds after the deductions on the Accu-Cull scale.
  19. Line and Lure is great. I picked up a bottle after hearing all the good reviews. While I haven't had many problems using InvisX, it made a good line even better and impressed me.
  20. Congratulations! I have a little one due in June myself.

If you are referring to bladed jigs, I pretty much slow roll them on the bottom.
  22. I just take a few bottles of Powerade and water to drink and something to snack on like trail mix or crackers.
  23. I really only laughed at the Doritos ultrasound commercial. Having a baby due in June probably made it even better. Amazon one with Marino gave me a chuckle.
  24. Denver's defense is scary.
  25. Bass Pro has the Pro Qualifier with a Carbonlite rod on sale starting on the 12th for $99.99 which is another decent combo I would recommend to someone on a budget.
