Last weekend was brutal fishing in lox with the high water,dingy water and them pumping all that water where are you guys going this weekend?

My guess cooling pond in Indian town?Which ever spot it is wtg on finding some nice hawgs!!!

Here in Florida the local canals they are infested with them and bigggg

Lox was brutal today water was high couldn't reach fish,they were pumping so much water it muddied up the water really bad barely had any visibility and it created some strong current rough day only got a handful couple of them went over 2lbs gonna sleep in tomorrow till this water settles down.

Iam not sure where to go this weekend I was thinking Holiday park,wonder where Geo G is going??

Iam no pro.by any means but from my experience of catching bigger fish has been using big bass lures not as many bites it will test your patience but you might be rewarded ,I have caught big fish in shallow water but the majority of big fish I have caught has been in deeper water hope that helps.

I think some fishermen have a problem with not catching the big numbers that's why they stick to the baits they know will produce the numbers with occasional decent size fish opposed to fishing baits that target the much larger fish but not as many bites.Depemds what you after numbers or size? Personally I would rather catch one 5 lber per trip vs 50 1/2 lbers.Nothing like the fight of a big bass and the challenge .

Ive been very apprehensive about going in the flats because I have an old fiberking bomber bass boat it's very heavy and I don't know if I'm gonna be able to get plane to get out of the flats so I've stayed in the main canal.ive done pretty good at but the flats are calling me lol.

I broke down and finally bought a pair of Costas with glass lenses and I can see underwater structures much better and from a further distance than less expensive glasses I use to wear which imho helps me work the lure better cause I can see better what I'm doing which in turn helps me catch more fish and it's alot easier on my eyes which can cause fatigue on the water.

I was out there Saturday also the main canal was tough I only got about 10 total but landed this nice one on a jerkbait in North canal

I think what messes with our heads here in Florida is during spring time we are catching fish just about every cast and big fish than summer comes and it slowwwwwsssss down lol

Is there a difference between t handle drain plug and a flip lock drain plug? Reason I ask is I had an old flip lock and replaced it with t handle and now I'm taking on some water.The new t handle one seems to fit right and it screws it in as tight as it can go so I'm wondering if if I should go back to flip lock or maybe put some 3M Marine 5200 sealant around the hole?Help!!!?

Got her this morning at lox? not alot of bites but I slowed my fishing down and went to a big jerkbait on Wednesday I caught like 50 fish but they were dinks just shows if you change your approach and go with bigger baits and slowwwww your fishing g down you will be rewarded.

Targeting big fish takes a big commitment alot of patience and you must be able to handle not getting alot of strikes and alot of fish.I have fished with alot of guys and if they weren't getting a bite or a fish every few minutes they would get aggreviated and not enjoying themselves.But the reward of catching big fish compared to small fish is no comparsion.

Went to lox this morning got 2 three pounders and a handful of one pounders ,jerkbait, spinnerbait,worm,senko,fluke.Heres one of the 3lbers.Might head out to the alley or Holiday park tomorrow

You will and once you figure it out it will boost your confidence and add to your arsenal There are bass all over that system just because guys are catching fish fishing a certain area using a certain pattern doesn't mean thats it.I kinda go against the grain and don't do what everyone else is doing and land very good numbers and weight remember it's a fish it has certain characterics that just don't change cause they are in Florida.
