  1. It's my OCD that why I got a scale also I just like to know and it one click on my volume button on my phone in my pocket.
  2. I use to use Maxima years ago and it got tougher to find so I switched to Berkley big game and it reminded me alot of it,had great results from it,it does have a lot of memory but no big deal just trim it,it's cheap enough, but I love the strength of it. So for some odd reason I wanted to try trilene XL I enjoyed the castabilty of it and even the sensitivity of it buttttt today I was out using it and i had my best fish of the year break off I was mad but I was like maybe the line was frayed from the other fish I caught so I cut some off re tied it and a few fish later a nice 3lber broke off,so needless to say I just finished respooling my reels back to big game.(problem solved/lesson learned)
  3. In the article he was using 11/2 oz I was like wow!!!Here is the article if interested. https://www.bassresource.com/hank-parker-fishing/lure-speed.html
  4. I was always afraid to go to heavy that it would spook them and figured lighter would get better look at it seeing the appendages flapping etc
  5. I been going alot lighter than that,I was reading an article on BR Larry Nixon basically said in one of the tournaments he was fishing he went alot heavier and the speedier fall rate was the difference maker for him winning the tournament.

What weight do you use on your creature/worm for a good fall rate besides punching and flipping grass?

  8. My buddies at work are always asking me how many I caught so it's nice to give them and accurate number that's why I bought a scale as well cause that 5lb bass only weighs 3lbs ?
  9. I'll compare it to a g rated version would rather go on a date once a month or 40 x a month, that's just me though. You can use the counter for that also ?
  10. Very well said, the reason I use a counter is to document each time I fish the amount of fish caught, what I used, the area i was fishing and weather conditions it helps me track patterns and it's very nice tool to use on your phone thought others would have enjoyed it.But like I said there is just some guys out there think they know everything and if you got a 3-5 lb avg you should start fishing the elite series.
  11. So what you are saying is if you are catching alot of small fish leave that area cause there won't be any larger fish in that area and if you use a fish counter you are catching small fish. Interesting theories

  19. Great tip just enjoy it it's a gift to experience what we do.A couple years ago I was in the hospital for 6 months fighting for my life couldnt barely breathe or walk now I'm out fishing every weekend and working and in the best shape of my life, it puts in perspective,so if your not catching 10lb fish every catch don't sweat it ,it could be worse.
  20. Bass tracker tx17 would be perfect for those areas, depending on how much you want to spend, will depend on the year of the boat and horsepower, there is plenty to choose from on Craigslist.
