High waters in South Florida fishing the WCA's
It's gonna be bad for a while high water levels is bad in Florida they will pumping tons of water so you will have find areas that the water is clear cause most of it's gonna be all.muddied up, generally speaking summer is a tough time in South Florida for bass fishing due to high water levels from all the rain and high water temperatures. Ps-Im not an expert but this is from my own personal experience

Spinning tackle
I fish just the opposite very stained and alot of vegetation but it's been alot of fun using that light spinning setup with light line, using small top water baits makes it alot more challenging than reeling them in with steel ? I caught a 6lber on that light setup using a pop r ,he headed right into.the thick vegetation had to play him very carefully it was very exciting got the old heart racing.

Best deal
My other 4 combos are tatulas and Dobyns and there is no question a big difference using those combos in balance, sensitivity and performance but it just blows my mind that those Lew's are still performing I use them for my spinner bait, rattle trap and soft plastic swim baits.

What was a purchase you made on a rod, reel or combo that really surprised you how good it was for such a low price? **Mine was Lew's blue speed stick combo $59 ,have had it for 3 years so far and counting ,bought 3 of them at the time ,have caught hundreds of bass on each one,the only issue I ever had was with one had to replace the reel handle because I caught so many fish on it ?wore out the reel handle ? went to BPS got a universal reel handle $10 **

Lightest and most sensitive rod I've come across for $50, lighting rods are nice but nowhere near as light and Sensitive as the Sellus IMO.

Thanks for replying!Funny thing is when I was looking at the reel I thought it was too small lol I was looking at 35 ,feels reel good with that sellus can't wait to try it out hopefully Monday if this weather cooperates,on a side note I had a sellus on a casting rod and that reel seat was terrible I got rid of it,the spinning rod reel seat is fine.

Should I be insecure about my boat size?
I fished out of a 12ft Jon boat with just a trolling motor for years and got in spots no one could and never saw anyone out there and I slayed them ,now I got a bigger bass boat and fish where everyone else does and all using the same baits, yes it's more comfortable and it's nice having gas motor but I fished areas where bass never even seen a lurer it was alot of fun.

Punching Lox
Just like everyone fishing the glades the last few months with big numbers I'm really burned out on these small fish I want to start targeting big bass,I know they are there,I fish with a guy occasionally he can't go no more than half hour without getting a fish or he gets very aggreviated, even though alot of the time the bait is bigger than the bass I'm just done with it , probably the reason I enjoy fishing by myself u can do your own thing and not be distracted just enjoy the freedom being out there away from all the madness of the world.I don't fish tournaments or fish for a living so it really doesn't matter how many or how big of fish I catch ,I just enjoy it .Got caught up on getting big numbers gotta refocus.

Punching Lox
I did it manyyyyy years ago with my brother on Okeechobee there was no where near as many bites but much better quality bass, with summer coming I figured it might be a good way to land some good size bass in the heavy cover.
