  1. Mine is fiberglass and it has brass fitting in the hulls drain plug hole.
  2. I've tried both, I loosen them up than stick it in, than turn it ,seems to be getting a tight seal but for some reason I thought there was some plastic gasket in the drain hole tube
  3. I'm a fairly new boat owner two years to be exact I'm learning as I go along, lately I noticed I'm taking in water and using my bilge pump to take it out.My question is at drain hole of the hull should there be a plastic gasket or rubber gasket in that tube? The drain plug fits perfect but I think there was some type of gasket there before, could that missing gasket cause me to take in water even though drain plug fits securely? Thanks guys!!
  4. Welcome fellow Florida fishermen great site you joined alot of great guys with a wealth of information.

I gotta use a little heavier weight than I like to get thru the vegetation ,but I wonder if the heavier weight on a faster fall will spook them, seems a slower fall gives them a longer look at it.

Besides trying to get thru heavier vegetation what is the advantage of using heavier weight on your soft plastic Texas rigged baits? Thanks!!
  7. Diet Coke,it keeps me throwing ?
  8. I'm in this heat 10hrs a day 6 days a week at work so being on boat is nothing
  9. Its been nasty out feels like August already....
  10. I heard from a guy at work today that holiday park is doing really good
  11. Hey guys got a solution for you that worked for me tonight.I was reorganizing my tackle bags and my wife was watching me saying omg you could open up a tackle store,I don't think you need to buy any lures any time soon ,so I paused for a moment and said to her honey it's like how you woman buy shoes and purses and she looked at me and said I totally understand it makes me happy that you enjoy fishing basically what she said she's gonna keep buying shoes and purses and I can keep buying lures and gear ? That's what you call quick thinking ?
  12. Just saw this video it just posted a couple of hours ago
  13. Lol yea me too!!I haven't been on Okeechobee in years awesome lake use to fish it every weekend with my brother back in the 90's now I just fish the glades which is cool
  14. I use to enjoy going to bass pro shops but it seems every time I go and look for a certain bait and color or equipment they don't have it,I find it much easier and more efficient just to go online to TW and get exactly what I want with no hassle delivered right to my door without delivery charge or tax.
  15. Wtg!!! It's been really good out there lately.
  16. Yea Loxahatchee being doing really good on toads and craws in deeper water can't tell you what color though lol cost me alot of money to figure out the color lol
  17. Same, it's been on fire every where you go ,been slamming them 3-6 lb range, 20-30 fish per outing, thought it was gonna be tough with all rain, high temps and blue bird skies getting alot better quality fish than the spring.
  18. I totally agree the people I was fishing with if they weren't catching a fish every few cast they would want to leave so basically I now fish by myself my wife comes sometimes when weather is good. I think alot of these fishing shows are very misleading to the novice fishermen these guys doing these shows are professional fishermen that get paid good money to find and catch fish and have been doing it every day since they were little kids 8-10 hrs a day 6 days a week 20 plus years plus it's tv it's called editing lol.
  19. Up until two years when I got my first bass rig I would fish on others boats and it was alot of fun caught fish etc etc but since I got my own I rig the experience is totally different having your own rig it seems you grow as a fishermen alot more, one thing as far as fishing goes that I'll do is fish an area thorough sticking with it not running all around being persistent, being very thorough, trying different baits in area, giving the lure a chance to work, the other day I went out didn't get a bite for a few hours kept working that area trying to different baits than BOOM!!!!I was on them, I figured out what they wanted,at what depth and speed, had a 4lb avg, before if was fishing an area and didn't get a bite in 30 min I would run,I seen guys the other day riding by me left and right alot of times same boats fishing teaches you alot about not giving up and believe in what you are doing, guess it's just good old fashion hard work that pays off.Just wanted to share.
  20. Thanks for all the great info,I bought a few of those gambler punch skirts I was just thinking of attaching it with peg stopper, weight, skirt, than hook
  21. Do you guys use punch skirt to beef up the lure or does the skirt actually help from the appendages getting hung up?
  22. Last time I was out I was throwing worms and creature baits (not punching or flipping) but the appendages from the baits we're getting hung up and i felt I couldn't work the bait properly,so buddy of mine suggested a punch skirt, guess I'll try it
  23. Do any of you guys use a punch skirt with your worm or creature bait? I was thinking about doing it to beef up the bait and maybe help it thru the grass?Am I thinking in the right direction or not?Btw not talking about for punching or flipping, thanks guys!
  24. Never flipped one ounce before but I have to where I'm fishing it's really thick, been practicing in backyard with a bucket filled with water about 10ft away and moving it to different angles but the rod is killing my arm time to go shopping, honey I do know what I want for father's day ?
