Walmart Crocs then Im barefoot once Im fishing.
  2. Pretty good page on the keitechusa.com website.
  3. If I can only have one bait, Zman ribbon tail wormz, they are very durable. Or if I can have as many as I need but only of one kind of bait, Manns Jelly worm. 3/0 worm hook 3/8 oz bullet weight No boat means its coming through stuff more than likely every cast as it comes in to the bank. I need a bait that can be thrown into anywhere since its a unknown area. A bait for any season or temperature. A bait for pretty much any water. T Rigged worm fits that bill.
  4. I did the kid thing and now that she has moved out I have her entire room and closet. But didnt need it as the other bedroom was mine as well. 3 bedrooms for just me and a dog leaves lots a room for storage. I may have to do that as well. Sounds like a inexpensive way to share the sport. I don't have near as much as you guys in baits but it is to the point I have to much. That baits I don't use stays in sterilite containers in a closet. I just didn't think the garage was a good idea as it gets very hot in there when it is 105 outside.
  5. I just purchased 2 wheels with tires mounted for my trailer. Took them to my tire shop guy had him balance them and I put both on my trailer.
  6. I can't believe this still comes up as a topic. If it's yours legally do what you want with it. If it's someone else's legally stay the hell out of it. It's none ya ____ business what they do.
  7. If you can afford a better rod, look at the $180 Fenwick Aetos on sale for $95 on Fenwick's website to me is a no brainer. As was said "great rod at full price." They have done free shipping twice for me so if it doesn't come up right on the website call them.
  8. I understand the boat does look pretty decent if the price is right. That was the only reason I was interested in the $ involved. Just as an example at $30k it looks stupid bad at 2k its a steal. The price dictates if the speedo and temp better be working or not. As for that particular brand and model I can't say I never had one.
  9. Not saying that isn't pretty and it probably gives a little bit more protection to the reels and rods. But I just use the rod gloves on my rods and they go in and out like butter. Oh and have tons more room for more rods. My boat is a 2000 model and the rod lockers back then went exactly huge like boats today.
  10. Not sure if anyone noticed but the Fenwick rod prices were dropped even lower. The Aetos were $179.95 are now $94.48. The Fenwick® HMX® Casting rods are $41.98 - $47.23 http://www.fenwickfishing.com/fenwick-clearance/
  11. Ouch. That smarted. Yeah when I took the rod to Jim (the guy who is going to fix it) he was telling me stories of his bad moves. He had his rods in the back of a suburban I think anyway it had electric back glass. He said everything was in fine he went to Lake Fork fished the tournament put the rods back in and some for some reason he thought he heard the wind noise on the trip home like a window was cracked. So out of habit he checked with the switches in the door not by eye. When he got home he went to unload and apparently he had let the window down the rod tips poked out and he chopped them all off.
  12. Incredible deals I ordered early this morning a Aetos A701MHMFC. And have a MODEL#A741MFC Aetos somewhere between Fenwick and my house I had just ordered Friday. Nearly $200 rods for $100 is indeed a super deal.
  13. The top of the page reads FINAL SUMMER SALE! UP TO 50% OFF CLEARANCE ITEMS Actually it was $94.88 plus $7.49 tax that made it $102.27 each at my door. I have one of the MODEL # A701MHMFC and a MODEL # A741MFC both in the mail coming.
  14. The good news is I have a local guy that will fix it readjusting the eyes to make it correct placement as if it was originally this length for under $20. Also I just ordered 2 new Fenwick's as the Aetos are now under $100 each and they keep giving me free shipping. So now I need more reels haha its a trap I tell ya a trap!!! You ever throw Texas rig worms on a crank bait rod? Lmao It was horrible but I wasn't not going to fish. And I had 2 crank bait rods and that broke rod to pick from. I broke my other bait casting rod the outing before and the new replacement one hadn't arrived yet. Should be good to go this coming weekend though.
  15. Not sure on that. She said the inventory was going fast she had to look to make sure they had what I wanted before she took my order. Could be typical salesman talk or could be ffo might not get any of the Aetos. I don't know.
  16. X3 or whatever number it's up to. Excellent reel for the buck.
  17. Thanks yeah those size bass are fun as they seem to put a nice fight up. We were all up in some tree stumps and it made for some fun trying to keep them from wrapping me up. As for the rod yeah it wasn't like my favorite best rod in the world but dang it I am trying to get a few more dedicated slowly and I have managed to ruin 2 rods in the last two trips to the lake. This time it took exactly 3 1/2 inches off the end and has left 2 7/8" past the last eye on the rod. I am considering having it repaired I just don't know that I would like the rod at all after repair. I don't know how much will it change the way the rod acts.
  18. Well it started out great left the house headed to the lake at 6am got on the water and started pulling rod sox off taking rods out of the locker. That was where the worst part happened. I went to shut the locker and it didnt close all the way, Yup you guessed it my StCroix Mojo Bass Spinnerbait rod tip was in the way. The rod is now slightly shorter. Yeah I know its not a $300 dollar rod but it was my rod and $100 one at that. Guess this means I am looking for another rod. Anyway I went ahead and fished with my other rods and pulled these three out in about an hour on the ZMan Ribbon Tail WormZ in Pumpkinseed. All three were 15" to 16 1/2"
  19. I am pretty sure most of those barbless are also the same ones preaching catch and release. Both of which I don't have a issue with. However don't start in like a Jehovah’s Witness telling me how I shouldn't keep a legal catch once in a while or how I am wrecking the lake because I prefer barbs. As long as everyone is legal I don't care but I'm barbed. So get your head out of the way I'm casting
  20. Mann's Jelly worms and Minus cranks rock
  21. Pit boss, & Paca craw, are my more go to baits. But everything Bluebasser86 mentioned and anything else I have with me that might work could end up on a hook.
  22. While I agree I prefer to catch grandpappy or grandma I don't mind sore lipping a few younger ones as well. I look at it like I am giving free education lessons. They won't ever make it to grand ma or pa size if someone doesn't give them a warning that crank baits and worms sometimes get ya caught.
  23. That is absolutely amazing. 40 years ago we used snap swivels with Mann's Jelly worms day in and day out with a Zebco 202 and caught literally hundreds of fish out of numerous ponds all over north east Texas. We used them with H&H spinner baits as well Me and two friends had no internet to tell us it was wrong or to create hysteria about different aspects of fishing. This fishing hype is insane. We had no fluorocarbon we didn't have hooks so sharp you could shave with them heck according to some of the hype the rods we used wouldn't set a hook, the elastic mono was just horrible it broke off every other cast, and the 202 Zebcos were falling off the metal reel seats every 5th cast. We had to keep a screwdriver in our back pocket just to fish. It's a wonder anyone caught a fish period. Geez swivels no swivels use them if you want or not they will catch a little slime here and there but honestly they are not killing your day of fishing.
