Soft plastics
Cooler and a bag of ice will get through a day of work. Heat and plastics can be troublesome if they get to hot, messy.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Same here. Those BioSpawn VileCraw and Strike King Rage Tail Lobster plastics just don't hold up. I went through several bags of each the other day getting 1 maybe 2 fish per bait. Jeff the guy I fish with said they couldn't have made these any more perfect for you to have to buy more. I agreed there is no reason that plastic needs to be that delicate. The Paca Craws seemed to hold up much better for us. We went to using worms pretty heavy since they were ripping the appendages off so bad on the others. Heck I forgot I even had the D Bombs since I initially disliked them so. Wish I would have remembered. Here is literally a sample of what was left. Many never made it back to the boat. One strike or catch and the bait was gone or destroyed.

Vote for a rod
So far the MODEL # A681MHFC 6'8" for a top water rod and the MODEL # A761HXFC 7'6" Heavy Extra Fast for frogs/toads/other top water were the two I was looking at most. Lets see who else has ideas this could get fun. I did want to order in the next few days hoping they don't run out of what ever model we decide on. Ill say Monday or Tuesday at the latest and Ill see where the vote is. This way I can have it for the following weekend.

Vote for a rod
If these were your current rods and you had one more reel (Daiwa TATULA-100HS 7.3:1 ) with no rod what would you pick out of the Aetos that are on sale? I Guess Heavy is the logical choice as I don't have a true Heavy rod. Whats your opinions? Lew's Tournament 7.5:1 on a Fenwick Aetos A741MFC Worm 7'4" MF Lew's Tournament 7:1 on a Fenwick Aetos A701MHMFC Spinnerbait 7'1"MHMF Lew's Speed Spool LFS 5.6:1 on a Fenwick HMG GT72M-F-CB Crankbait Rod 7'2" MF Lew's Speed Spool LFS 6.4:1 on a Fenwick HMG GT72M-F-CB Crankbait Rod 7'2" MF Lew's Mark Rose signature series 7:1 on a St Croix MBC70MHFJigs now 6'10" MHF Bass Pro Qualifier 7:1 on a St Croix MBC711HMF Flippin' 7'11" HMF Daiwa TATULA-100HS 7.3:1 ?

It is official...
- Something Scary Is Happening
There is, was, and never will be, any doubt this is extra dimensional.- Most consecutive landed fish.
27 were relocated the rest thrown back. Oh wait C&R is the correct term I dont know how this happened but it doubled up my original post. Can a moderator combine them or something. Here is the same post.- Aetos vs. E6x
Yup just like your example though at a certain point it's a status thing. I guarantee you 99% of us here can't turn off all the driving aids and drive the Corvette all out. There is way more car there than a average guy can drive. This is why you see them wrecked in most cases what the owner though he knew and what he actually was capable of didn't match. Same principle with rods. One guy thinks if he spends $500 on a rod he just became KVD. So we all know that didn't happen so are we buying art for the wall, joining the Jones club, or a decent fishing rod? I haven't used a e6x rod either but the Aetos is a d**n nice rod. And I can't justify passing up 50% off on a nice rod to pay full price for a rod that is most likely very similar in performance.- Most consecutive landed fish.
Last Sunday went to a pool and it was crazy over filled with LMB. It was a over cast morning nice mid to upper 70s temp and we were instructed to catch and keep at will. The owner knew it was over full. So anyway me and my fishing partner proceeded to start casting and catching fish. At one point I pulled my crank bait rod out had a little Mann's 1minus in crystaglow bass tied on. It was ridiculous for the next 20+ minutes every cast was a catch. Sometimes the bait would hit the water and sometimes I swear it was like they were watching and would jump to catch it. Guess I've never seen starving fish like this before. But most were in poor condition. Some real bad some not to bad. Jeff my partner he was amazed and started calling the strikes. It was pretty simple they loved that lure. I quit throwing it because I didn't have another to share and it was to the point of embarrassing. Just going out on a conservative guess I'd say I consecutively caught 15 fish on 15 casts about as fast as it hit the water. How about you guys? Ever get on a run catching every cast non stop?- Most consecutive landed fish.

If the bigger worms aren't producing drop down to a 7 to 8" variety. I prefer T rigged unpegged. More than likely your catch will be smaller on average but it can produce some nice size bass as well.- Baitcasting Rod suggestions
That is why I stated For you fishing with ultra lite rods under 4 ounces and that state " I have a World Class rod" this may not be a deal. But there are a boat load of guys using $20 $30 $40 rods that decide they want to step up. And its usually to a $100 ish rod. This is where I feel many passing up a opportunity to step up to a $180 for their $100 price. Just asking what is your issue with the titanium guides? I haven't seen anything overwhelmingly negative posted everywhere. Is there something I need to be watching? For the record I have 4 Legendary rods.- Bank fishing tackle and rod question
Same here that hiking with 100lbs or gear is for the youngins. But say I was to come to that dam. I'm carrying one med to small tackle bag and 2 baitcasters- Lew's reels
It was eBay auction. Just search once in a while and you will find a deal. Like the Tournament I got the seller kind a screwed himself. The ad initially said nothing about it being a Tournament and the pictures didn't give a good shot of it saying it on the side. The title stated LFS Speed Spool. But a keen eye noticed it. And as I read there he did state under model it was a Tournament MB. So everyone glancing at titles only saw this listed as a standard LFS I presume with a $50 starting bid and no reserve. The other was just a guy selling g a new Lew's SSG1S starting bid was $50 on it as well. Guess no one wanted a crank bait reel at that time but me. LOL I have had the opposite but I do research the sellers and triple check the fine print. It's a business deal have to CYA- Baitcasting Rod suggestions
^^^ This Exactly! I don't understand the reservation. Most like me that either couldn't or wouldn't spent $180 on a single fishing rod have a rare opportunity to buy brand new, lifetime warranty rods at 1/2 price and people avoid them why? I picked up 2 myself and fished all day yesterday with them. I caught over 50 lmb and I can say these rods are very nice. Light weight under 5oz and very sensitive. Very very nice rods.- Something Scary Is Happening
So is there any relation between crop circles, aliens, and Bigfoot? I just need to know even if it's above my pay grade. BTW That Walmart comment was funny as hell @long island basser . I haven't made my dreaded pass through Walmart lately but now that I know what I'm looking at I bet I spot a few too.- Lew's reels
What your getting when you jump to the $99.00 Lew's is a aluminum frame. That is the biggest gain. As the frame makes the reel. It keeps everything in place so it doesn't wear prematurely and doesn't break from the monster catch or a accidental mishap. Pretty much if your not going for these features in a Lew's I'd suggest the academy mettle based on what I hear. I never owned one but I love my Lew's feel and performance and at $99 to $120 new that ain't bad. I will say you can get these reels very reasonable if you are patient. I have bought a couple out of the flea market here for $50-60 and got 2 coming off eBay right now both bought under $70 to my door. One is a used 1 season Tournament MB the other is a Cranking reel it is brand new.- REEL GRIPS
This my opinion as well. If someone likes them cool it's their reel. Not my taste though.- Seeking advice from my elders
Lawyer up. You need to be on top of things first legally. Playing from ahead seems to work better than playing from behind. Once you pick your lawyer do exactly as he/she says. It's always better to be on the same page as your lawyer. Also it use to be that the woman pretty much had a cake walk in these cases. Not so much any more. Good luck. Oh don't send her a dime that you don't have a record of exactly what it was for etc.- Advice needed for 2nd rod and reel
On that same note I just bought a brand new Lew's Speed Spool SSG1S for $65 for my crankbait rod and a Lews Tournament MB for $61.00 on Ebay. I have also bought a couple a decent reels off the flea market here on these forums for a great price.- Hook keeper or reel?
Man I was thinking about a post like this when I got my new Aetos rods this week. It is almost sacrilegious to put those hooks where they will be rubbing and lure banging on the rod. Seriously I always used the hook keeper but I never owned a $180 type rod and I had reservations when I was setting them up here in the house. I actually hooked a reel like the way you have pictured and realized that the large spinner bait hook could contact the line. I was afraid it would nick it up so I moved the hook to the reel handle. Maybe after I use them a trip or two and get them dirty it wont bother me. I typically am not that guy that is freaking over his cork getting a drop of sweat on it so hopefully my nerves will chill a little after I catch a few. - Something Scary Is Happening
