  1. If I'm rigging the bait below on a ball jig, should the hook come out the top or the belly? The top right? Thanks!
  2. I was fishing the rocks near Quarter Mile Pond. There was a building there. Is that where you mean?
  3. I tried fishing the rocks at the southern end of Spot Pond today--no luck. I threw a small jig with a rage craw trailer and a rage menace on a 1/8 jig head. Anyone have advice on how to fish that place?
  4. I'm going out tomorrow--will report back.
  5. I want to go fishing with Keith!
  6. Great idea, I'll look into it. Thanks!
  7. Have a great trip Rhino. See you when you get back! On a completely different subject, I'm looking to put together a camping/fishing trip this summer. I'd like to do this in CT or MA--NH and VT are possibilities. I'll be taking my brother with me. He's not a huge fisherman, but he likes going out. I don't have a boat, so we need to be able to bank fish or rent a boat. I'm not sure where we should go. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

  9. I want to go fishing with Mainebass!
  10. The weather's been so up and down, I haven't been out at all lately. It looks like that won't change next week.
  11. I didn't last long DB, maybe another half hour. I had a tap or two on the IKA before chatting with you guys, but nothing afterward.
  12. Nice one! I've been out a few times since we went to Sawdy, but it's been dead. I might try and get out on Friday. We shall see.
  13. I'd buy this in a heartbeat if I wasn't moving before fall.
  14. I caught that fish in probably 6 ft of water. We were fishing some large submerged boulders. The water temp was 40-44.
  15. It was the first fishing trip of the year, hallelujah! It was a slow day. I got a lot of tentative hits, and only managed to put one bass in the boat. However, that one bass set a new personal best for me at 5.5. The bass hit my wacky worm lightly, maybe 20 feet from the boat. I missed it, but then hit it again. On the second hit, I managed to get a good hook set and get it into the net. Later in the day, I hooked up with another large fish. I got it very close to the boat before it got off the line. Rhino insists it was larger than the first. Anyway, pictures are included. Great first outing of the year. Thanks to Rhino for the seat in his canoe, and to DogBone for snapping the pictures.
  16. Hope some of you guys can join us on Tueday.
  17. a buddy of mine fell through some ice last weekend--no bueno
  18. I'm psyched you asked this question. I was wondering what shakey head worms to buy for the spring. I've heard good things about the zman finesse worm--can anyone speak to that?
  19. Will do. Any jig recommendations? Swim or football? 1/4 oz or 3/8?
  20. Thanks for the heads up. I'm in East Somerville, but I've never fished the Charles at all. I put away all my gear in November, but I'm planning on getting everything ready to go by March. Right now, I'm putting together a big TW order in another browser window. I'm having difficulty anticipating everything I'm going need. Better to buy too much, I guess.
  21. I cleaned up while using them last year.
  22. Have a great trip Tom--looking forward to seeing pictures. I'm on spring break from teaching 3/12 - 3/20. I'm game to go out whenever you are. Dog, a day out fishing is always a good day.
  23. Happy Holidays everyone! Bring on April already, jeeze.
  24. I've trouble with that method too. I'm not sure what I do wrong.
