Maybe I missed it but could someone post a link or a pic. On another note, if I can catch one of the, now, older models on sale, I will replace one of my older models. Time for an upgrade after 8 years of service.

Maybe... First thing to consider is weight. The Calais is heavy. Is the Calais used compared to a new Curado I? If you are going to use it for light saltwater, then the Calais would definitely be my choice. Also, there is just something special about the original Calais. It has the super wow factor that no other reel has given me. I wish I never sold it. I paid about $200 on sale a local tackle shop and sold it for more than $300, used obviously.

If I put on sunscreen or bug repellent, I just leave it as is. To remove the fish smell, I use lemon juice and lemon peels.

I use to have a Calais 201A and loved it. It was a tank tough. It was smooth beyond compare, casting was fantastic and it was by far the best reel I have ever used. If you're getting it for $50 or so, it is a steal. One word of warning, it is a pain to work on. The other you mentioned are also a steal. Enjoy......

Yo Zuri Hybrid is my favorite. It use to be Fluoroclear but it I went through several spools that had breaking issues. Not sure what the issues was but I have not tried it in years.

Spinning reel> 6 lb Mono or 8 lb Mono. I like Trilene XL or Senshi.

The oakley's I have owned in the past have had really bad lenses for the price you pay. They look great for a year or two and then the finish comes off.

Great QB's elevate the players around them and Brady does not do that, Belichick does. So I guess the same thing can be said about Brady. Belichick is a great coach that elevates his ability on the field. They both use each other to win. It is a great player/coach tandem. The thing that makes New England as good as they are (one could say besides the cheating here), is they always have personnel that are ready to step up and make not only a play but a difference at any given point in the game. Not many teams have that. They whole organization has the "anything to win attitude", whether that means playing your best, finding a way to win or being prepared to make a difference. This can make a player either selfless or over confident. The problem is that when the Patriots do all the three fore mentioned things, it seems that cheating is part of the normal way to accomplish all them.

When it comes to the browns this all you need to know.

Tennessee hands down. Once you have fished, hunt, biked, skied, swam, snow skied, 4 wheeled, and hiked all in the same day and in the same place, I can't think of a better place. My favorite spot is LBL.

My two cents on this..... I use line for what I feel is it's best intended purpose. My general rule of thumb is as follows.... FC> Jigs, most soft plastic (especially weightless senkos and such) Mono> Crankbaits Hybrid Lines> multipurpose here. I like it for spinning gear. Most 6lb test works for me. Braid> Punching heavy stuff and thick coverage. Overall, I am not a fan of braid as general all purpose line. I will save my breath as to why and move on. On FC though, depending on the line, I like how it handles for most bait casters. I have never had any real issues with it. My big thing with FC is that it last longer,IMHO, than mono and I can depend on it to be, for most part, consistent in it's properties. My only gripe is the cost. Like most fishing things with added benefits, the amount of return does not equal the price.

On flea bay. Maybe the Colts could get their hands on some.....

I use BullFrog Sunscreen with Deet and never had an issue with not catching fish. I think it is a bunch of horse hockey.

I have the 783 GLX and I can't think of any technique I would not try with this rod. It very versatile and super sensitive. It's the best general purpose rod I have ever fished and I think if I could only own one rod, it would be this one.
