Interstellar Film Or That Was It? Boring!
Loved this movie. I thought it was one of the best sci-fi flicks I have seen in quite awhile with some real (theoretical) science behind it. I think this type of film you can expect from Christopher Nolan. He leaves holes in the subplots and a lot of what if's in his films. With my wife being a teacher, I loved the line "You're telling me it takes two numbers to measure your a** but only one to measure my sons future?" Kind of liked this one as well, "We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us."

New River Monsters Tonight
Love the show but I do get tired of the same formula though. Wade is an amazing fisherman. He not only can fish a huge range of species but he actually learns and adapts to the culture where he fishes. I often wish I could walk in shoes for a week. Also, if you watch some of the episodes back to back, he always seems to be wearing the same blue shirt and gray pants. I think I remembering hearing it was what he wore to bring good luck. Strange I know but I have seen too many episodes.

Spinning Rod/reel For Finesse Fishing
To stay within your budget you will have to find these on sale..... Pflueger President 25 size and a Fenwick HMX 7' ML Fast (1/8-5/8 oz.) But based on your description above, you may be talking about multiple rods with the techniques you mentioned. I would read the sticky at the top of this section on rod selection.

Braid For Spinning Reel
20lb works for me. It's usually equivalent to 6 lb mono. BTW, welcome to the forum.

Favorite 12Lb Fishing Line?

Spinning Rod Which To Choose?
The Avid gets my vote. If you re going to use it for soft plastics, I like the 6'8" MH X-fast. Great rods, enjoy.

12# Big Game For T Rigs
I use to use big game but have since found many other lines I like better. That is not to say Big Game is not good line. I like it and have caught a lot of fish using it. Like other have said, it does have a lot of stretch and I found myself changing this line more often than others. Overall, it is great line for the money.

Best All Around Bass Baitcasting Rod Under $100?
To be fare, I had the first generation of this rod. I purchased two, one spinning and one casting, both ended up breaking on me at the reel seat. I would like to think it was user error but I have heard others having the same issue. They also did not have any sensitivity to me at all. The cork on one was bad and the other had issue with the guides. I did spend a few extra bucks and picked up two St. Croix Avids to replace them that I found clearance out. I have fished these rods for almost 7 years, no issues. Out of what I have used over the years, there are several I would recommend before this series of rods. For instance and in no order, the ugly stick, berkley lightning rod, anything from falcon, fenwick HMG, (been awhile) BPS Carbonlite, Shimano Calarus, Gander Mountain Tournament (this being my favorite). They may have improved this rod over the years but the X rods have not impressed me so far.

Older Quantum Pt Reels
It started to act like a coffee grinder after about 2 hours of use. The breaks seemed to work sometimes. I would get legendary birds nests. The drag on one (the one quantum sent to replace the original I had that had been repaired) worked up to maybe 4 lbs. The handle knobs started to melt one day in the sun. The finish started to come off on one of them after a couple of months. One of them would cast a mile one minute and then not cast 10 feet. The casting, breaking, and cranking issues were consistent with all of the reels. Each reel went back to quantum twice to be repaired first, then replaced by them, then the new ones repaired again, and they then went into the trash. When I asked Quantum what the deal was, they said that these were known issues and that they were aware of the problems. From my stand point, the people at Quantum did what they could. They were polite and professional. The turn around time on the reels was pretty quick (about 5 days after they received them). I just wished the reels actually worked but A+ for the service though. I always blamed the hot sauce.

High Visibility Line Or Not For Soft Plastics
I use FC for soft plastics. As far as high vis line, I like Senshi from Seagur. It is new to me this year and so far it has not disappointed. Out of the water it is fluorescent. It is also visible under black light.

Older Quantum Pt Reels
I had the energy pt pictured above and the tournament pt. Both had all kinds of problems. I had both replaced and repaired twice. Quantum did what the could from a customer service standpoint. But in the end, they went into the trash. I would not recommend the energy pt. The other I have never seen.

Line For Glx 783C
I have the same rod. I have tried braid and really didn't care for it. It is a fantastic rod but braid seemed just weird on it. I like 12lb Invisix, plain old Trilene XL, and Yo Zuri Hybrid. My reel of choice with this rod is a Shimano Core 101MG. As far as uses for this rod, anything really. It is probably the most versatile rod I have ever used. I have used it for just about every technique from crank baits to weightless soft plastics. I especially like it for jerkbaits. Enjoy....

Best All Around Bass Baitcasting Rod Under $100?
I would say anything but the St. Croix Triumph.

Lowest Stretch
So far, Senshi from Seagur has had the lowest stretch. I usually use Trilene XL for crank baits but it, to me, has a lot of stretch. I wish someone was smart enough to make a line that just was called "Crankbait Mono" that does has all the things you would hope for.

Spin Reel $150 Price Range
Either the Pflueger Supreme or the a Shimano Stradic. The Supreme is the best bang for the buck but the Stradic is the better reel. Both would serve you well.

Shimano Curado Question
It seems to me that some braided lines hold more water than others. For instance, Trilene's braid that was out a few years ago. When this stuff got soaked, the older Curado I had it on would make a whining sound when casting, similar to the sound of ceramic bearings. I went back to Power Pro and it stopped for a month and came back. I then went back to FC and the problem never came back. One thing that did help, temporarily, was KVD line conditioner. If I were you, I would change the line to either mono or FC and see what happens.
