  1. One more vote this advice.
  2. I try to switch it up from time to time but if it ain't broke don't fix it.
  3. Dicks sporting goods. Just keep checking. They just keep clearing more stuff everyday.
  4. Looks like a nice reel, at a great price. Does it come in a lefty?
  5. Man, I feel for Green Bay. Can't believe they let that one slip away.
  6. I think I would call myself an opportunist. If it bites, I am reeling it in.
  7. Sounds like a lower gear ratio reel would work fine for those applications.
  8. To quote Eddie Aikau, "It's like being in heaven looking down on earth." Eddie Would Go.....
  9. It hit 50 degrees today in Indiana and the lake and ponds are still frozen solid. I call it warm weather cabin fever.
  10. Typically between $500-$1000 every other year. This is just tackle and gear. You can double (maybe triple) that if you include everything else, like travel, gas, food, etc....
  11. I like the bigger size jerkbaits because I can generally cast them further. IMHO and weird philosophy, this gives the fish more time to follow the bait in if I am working a jerkbait quickly.
  12. That's a lot of tackle. I would try to cut it down a little. If you're going on a bigger bass boat, you probably will get away with it but you might sink a john boat.
  13. No matter where I am fishing, I have a Jansport extended day hiker back pack that is over flowing with equipment. It has seen it's fare share of damage but they come with a lifetime guarantee. I have used this service for one of my sons backpacks and it is great. One of his shoulder straps ripped and they sent him a new backpack in about two weeks.
  14. I keep them in the original bags inside an extra large BPS worm bag. I would love to replace it but they don't make the model I have anymore. I can't find one big enough.
  15. I hit them today as well. I picked some more tungsten weights ($3 a pack), VMC Jigs ($2 a pack), GYCB Swimbaits ($2 a pack), and more Trilene 100% FC ($10 a spool). I was tempted to pick up a Shimano Crucial Swimbait rod. I had it price checked> $32.... Still kicking myself for not picking it up but buying it would lead to more swimbaits and another reel that I might use on occasion.
  16. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=846212115425081 Can't wait until tomorrow. Go Colts.....
  17. It's good stuff. If you use it on mono it will work but you won't see drastic difference. Use it on FC and it is magic.
  18. Go for it. Sounds like a great deal.
  19. A good, solid, do anything reel is the Shimano Citica G. Welcome to the forum by the way. You should check out the stickies at the top of this section. Some great info.
  20. Watched it again. Anybody notice the barn fresh merc in the shed with euro plates? I wonder where they are at?
  21. Rabbits and squirrels but in cold weather only, too many parasites. I would say keep it as a pet. One other thing, be careful what you feed these things. They will not stop eating if you leave them food. They can eat until they die of consumption, especially when they are competing against another dog for food.
  22. No, Gronk on the other hand......
  23. For my old calais this was the only special tool I needed besides a lot of patience. I got my set a lowes for $5. Also here is a how it is done, http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=895.0.
