  1. If the brake system is like the Millionaire CT with the adjustment on the whole palm, I will pass. Nice looking reel though. If I read the specs correctly, the 150 might fit between the 200 and 300 Conquest. That would fill a unique gap in the inshore fishing realm. Should be a powerful reel. I will probably pick up another Calcutta Conquest instead though, might be a 200 size this time. For a round reel for jerkbaits, the Conquest 30 shallow spool is my favorite. Just a pleasure to fish.
  2. Here is a video from Megabass USA. He is using a downward pop but you can work it with a side swipe to walk it underwater like a spook. I throw it on a light Megabass P5 Whippet or on a couple of different BFS setups. Both work. I prefer fluorocarbon 6lb for line.
  3. I have two older versions, one in the IMX and another in the GLX. Great rods but definitely not my first choice or even my second for chatterbaits, spinnerbaits and swimjigs. My favorite is the NRX+ 883c BJR and then the Megabass P5 Daemos. I use the 844c's for topwater (buzzbaits especially) , football jigs, and heavier Texas Rigged plastic. The 844c will work for these baits but to me it feels a little off.
  4. Tackle Warehouse has some in-stock as of this moment.
  5. I got two but the gill color was out of stock in seconds, like 5 seconds. I should have bought more.
  6. Ordered a P5 Mark56 from The Hook Up Tackle and jumped on a Bento Box deal. They also had a free batch of lures if you spent over a certain amount. My rod hasn't arrived but all extra showed up today. All of this was $100. Can't believe I got a Quazkiller, 4 custom color baits, and just a ton of other good stuff.
  7. Use the same knot but I do 10-12 turns. Its overkill but I don't have any really bad break offs. I’ve tried other knots but this one has worked the best for me.
  8. I love music but not while I'm fishing. As far as someone else playing it, if its not too loud it doesn't bother me but there a few guys on my lakes that go full blast and its annoying. Its gotta drive the fish away. There is one guy that plays country music at level 11 just so it will keep other fisherman completely away from his spot. He even wears ear plugs. Some people are just 🥜🥜
  9. I've used 6lb but have switched to braid to leader on most of my spinning gear. I do still have it on a BFS setup though. Its great line and I haven't had any issues. I do put it on slightly wet so it doesn't act like a spring when you first start using it. My fluorocarbon of choice now is 6lb Sunline Invisible. It's not really any better than Tatsu. I just like the color and its what I have confidence in. Its brought in some nice fish for me.
  10. They have one called Spiced Pumpkin and another that's called Mamba that's a little bit of everything but nothing yet that's like the GP Spunk Shad. I'll probably be using this bait on a Neko rig.
  11. Did you get charged anything else? It might be a few but I have been thinking of upgrading one of my reels and placing order.
  12. Here's what they are and they found a new home.
  13. I have a 110 in that color. I have yet to try it. I will need to give it a go one of these days. I do have a few different baits in Matte Tiger. I think it was a special/limited color for the 110 but a regular in the Deep X-200. It seems to do well with smallmouth. I don't see why Aka Tora wouldn't do the same. Another one that I went on a tare with years ago was a LC 100sp in Gekiatsu Red. I lost it somewhere along the way but it too would work in spring. Another one in 100sp is Aurora Craw. This is the only image I could find of the Gekiatsu Red. Wrong bait though. I also have it in an LC 2.0.
  14. This guy is has been great on any lake I have fished. Megabass 110 jr +1 Spawn Killer. Looks red in the box, orangish in the water.
  15. Glides, big crankbaits, PD Chopper with a 5in Spark Shad, and some big topwater.
  16. Got one that's new and under the radar. I personally haven't tried it yet but I got a few packs to try out. Looks amazing. Its got built in rattle and the head is made for a nail weight. Cast Nova
  17. Not sure what is going on but just doing a search on Tackle Warehouse for 16lb mono and 40lb J-braid and they are both the same diameter. Both are 0.32mm. Granted there are different diameters listed for all sorts of mono but just checked one I knew was in 16lb. Also, I never trust the listed line capacity on the box. Its just sort of a guide line. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Sunline_Super_Natural_Monofilament_330yd/descpage-SLSNM.html https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_J-Braid_x8_Braided_Line_Chartreuse/descpage-BJC.html
  18. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.kltv.com/2026/03/09/lake-fork-fishing-tournament-competitor-accused-cheating/%3foutputType=amp This would seem sort of mondane by most cheating standards but this guy faces some serious charges. I don't think it's his first time either. When will people figure out you are going to get caught. He altered a fish by 2.25oz. Is it really worth it? Just stupid.
  19. I was debating between that and the Monstrous but it was sold out and there seems to be a lot of positive talk around the Mark 56. I'm hoping it will be here by this weekend.
  20. Cabin fever can cause some "I'm definitely going to need that" purchases. This year it was the PD Chopper, 5in Spark Shads, jig trailer refills, a couple of Bentos from the Hook Up Tackle, and a P5 Mark 56.
  21. Going to send you a PM. 👍
  22. I am about the same. Certain lines last longer than others but just fishing helps. There are few things to consider though. How the line is stored. How much is left on the spool. What pound test it is. And what specific line is it? To me, if you buy quality line, you don't need line conditioner. If line memory is an issue, take a bucket, fill it with warm water, let the line out in the bucket and reel back in. That should help some with the coils.
  23. @RRocket @Aguilab1 Got a question for both you guys. Do you add a split ring to this bait? I’ve seen other guys online talk about it but I personally haven't seen it in action. They say it gives it a wider glide or movement. Any thoughts?
  24. I have a couple Lucky Craft jerkbaits that will never see water. I am not sure what they were called but I ordered them by accident not knowing the size. I would guess that they are 210mm or 8in. They weigh about 2oz easy. I thought they were for saltwater when I got them but I remember the box stating bass. They have been collecting dust for about 10 years.
  25. I have the 883 BJR NRX+ and love this rod. It is overkill in the sensitivity department but for a 3/8 or 1/2 oz bladed jig its awesome. As stated above you can overload it with a 1/2 oz but you need a heavy trailer to do it (like a 5.5in Spunk Shad or maybe a 4.8 Fat Impact). I use mine for spinnerbaits and some topwater as well.
