me and my grandson hit the water around 6:30 this morning in the little johnny. he’ll turn 10 in a few weeks and he’s finally getting the hang of texas rig fishing. we’re primed for a great summer together on the water.

i fish alone, yeah with nobody else you know, when i fish alone i prefer to be by myself

never had a Canada Goose come anywhere near the boat before, ever. but this peculiar fellow has been visiting me quite regularly these last few weeks. yesterday i saved him some of my ham sandwich.

only fished Harris once, and that was about a month ago. we caught 8 fish, nothing over 3 lbs. but it’s a bonified big bass factory.

good question. i do know that the Marines disbanded their tank corps about a year ago, something i thought i’d never see. this was us in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 1979.

these are the tanks i used to play with back in the late 70’s. the M60A1, refurbished Viet Nam era tanks for us in the Marine Corps. they later came out with the M1 Abrams.

i bought my wife a Bullet a couple years ago and paired it with a 6’ 4” MH Wright McGill worm rod. spooled it with some 10# Trilene mono and she loves it. it is kind of heavy compared to my Diawa bait casters though.

retired after 30 years with the local water works at the end of 2010. after that i did side jobs with friend til March 2020.
