  1. If you slide a split ring over the eye before you tie on it can't go anywhere.

Get a CC permit and you won't have to worry about waiting.
  4. I've had some break off when the line got wrapped around and pinched off. I always use the "R" bend type now. However, the guys that fish with wire leader will use the twist ties with snaps.
  5. It is on my Christmas wish list. I am getting the LCRX however.....sometimes I just like the feel of the hammer under my thumb.
  6. I'm sure no one here will believe this, but back in the late '90's a guy from the Washington Fish and Game Dept spoke at our club meeting. He told us that one of his crews that was running one of their shocker boats, shocked and released a 13 lb smallmouth on the Snake River.

  8. Recently, I changed banks. I updated my PayPal account and gave thm a CC for back up. Two weeks ago, they tried to draws funds from my old account....twice. So I get two $25 NSF charges from my bank. I cancelled my PayPal account that day.
  9. Just a follow up. I received everything I ordered at the price shown on the website. All well packaged and brand new products. I actually decided to order three more Lew's reels and they were able to combine shipping and issued me a refund on the shipping. Now if it would quit raining, I might go try them out.
  10. I wonder how many 9 V's get sold this week.
  11. I get most of my components here. Good Luck! http://lurepartsonline.com/
  12. Try it again. I show $30 shipping to your zip.
  13. I've got two 251's I bought back in early '80's that I still use today. And I'm ashamed to admit.......that's without any maintenance whatsoever.

I have won or placed in many tournaments fishing a Rebel Deep Wee Craw in chartreuse and a J20 broken back minnow in perch pattern.
  15. Glock 21 and 13 Black Talons.
  16. I retired last year after 40 years as a carpenter. Started out building specs for a guy that didn't believe in subbing things out. Because of this, I learned to frame, foundations, flatwork, side sewers, earthwork, water supply lines, roofing, siding, drywall, finish, on and on. After 8 years, I worked for some guys remodeling restaurants. The last 20 years or so I was doing upper end remodels. Worked for a lot of pro sports figures and Microsoft execs. My body just flat gave out on me or I'd still be doing it. I emptied my van out on the driveway last spring and told my son to take what he wanted. The next weekend we had a garage sale and I sold the rest. My wife made me keep enough to do her honey-dos though.
  17. They give you several options. Mine was $13 on a $250 purchase....UPS Ground......PA to WA.
  18. Well, I ordered a couple of Speed Spools from them. I'll let you know how it goes.
  19. Anybody know anything about these guys? Prices are pretty decent but I'm hesitant to try without a recommendation. Thanks. http://www.manventureoutpost.com/categories/Fishing/Reels-%252d-Casting/

Can somebody please provide a link to some open eye jig heads? I really want to make up some chatterbait type lures and I don't like the snap ring type. I've checked all the usual suspects....LPO, Jann's, Barlow's to no avail. Thanks
  23. I use 1/4" backer rod like that used by insulators. http://www.dhcsupplies.com/store/p/4380-1/4-Closed-Cell-Backer-Rod-By-the-Foot.html
