  1. Wondering about your favorite T-rig craws? I have seen a couple older threads about craws in general, but I am specifically interested in using the craw all by itself. Please let me know your 4 - 8 +/- favorites. As far mine, the only ones that I have really tried for this technique are the Zoom Big and 'Lil Critter Craws. They have both been productive, especially the Big critter in blueberry. Please let me know what you like
  2. In general: 1/8 oz. roostertail For bass: 5'' yum dinger. watermelon red
  3. DSG sale got the best of me again. Bought these: 1x pflueger president, size 35 4x Berkley chigger craw 4x Berkley crazy legs craw 4x Berkley fighting big 2x Berkley natural nightcrawler 2x Berkley crappie nibbles
  4. This is my first time doing it. Was unaware of the previous sale. So I don't know. If you're really dedicated, try having a friend/relative vouch for you. May or may not work a 2nd time though...
  5. DSG has the powerbait deal up again. 4/$10 and a $10 rebate from Berkley. Go get yourself some free worms.
  6. Roostertails and blue fox Vibrax over Mepp's
  7. Dicks has the Pflueger President for $49.98 and Cabela's has the Summit XT for $49.99. Is the summit XT a higher end reel? Is it preferable to the president?
  8. Not sure what to tell you. Id be ticked too but at the end of the day, its not the end of the world. Look at it as an opportunity if you can. I would suggest that you not give up though.
  9. I told myself "no more baits/tackle until 4th of July Sales so I can buy a new rod" about two and half weeks ago. Then the Father's day sales came. I see overstock baits has had a couple new sales and are offering a first time custome/free shipping deal. Heres what came next: 2x Lindy crappie dancer jigs 1x Uncle Josh floating trout pellets 1x GYCB 4 inch curly tail worm 3x Z-Man pitching craws 2x Booyah Hard Knockers Then from the farmers market: Lazer sharp treble hooks 8 roostertails and some beetle spins Pack of Ned Rig heads (looks like somebody hand poued these) 2x KVD 1.5's Some more zoom plastics
  10. Spinnerbait or squarebill TX craw/creature TX trick worm or senko
  11. Cool, I usually go to a TX trick worm or baby brush hog instead of a wacky senko. Both weightless
  12. I agree. What alternatives platics would you try?
  13. Maybe try adding spike it to the tails of your plastics i also like a weightless zoom finesse worm
  14. Question, why do you use EWG hooks for this? Just wondering is all
  15. Shhhhh.....
  16. Very cool, did you find out anything more that he does to his lipless cranks when you interviewed him?
  17. Zoom has a magnum fluke in the yellow perch pattern. Never used it, but its cool looking.
  18. Good to know, was thinking about buying one from my buddy. Not anymore
  19. Try braid with a leader
  20. For crankbaits, you can take a look at strike king. H20 express, bass pro, and others for 1/8 oz. sized squarebills. Otherwise, think about 1/8 oz roostertails and light plastics on jigheads. Or fly fishing.
  21. Another question: when you are using the search bait idea, do you try to match the bass forage color or go with something with more visibility? Example, if bass are eating bluegill in stained/dirty water, do you go with a bluegill crankbait or do you go to fire tiger or other bright option? Or am I overthinking it?
  22. Trick worm, senko, finesse worm, etc. would be my first option. I might otherwise go with with a squarebill or spinnerbait (small one and only in dirty/stained water). to tell you the truth, there really isn't a bad choice. Don't overlook a panfish rig either. Small crankbaits, spinners, jigs, and plastics are killer for small and medium bass (Big ones too,i suppose,) and panfish. You could also go fish bait (worms, bread, minnows, etc.) to just have a good time
  23. The bug bite baits magnum lizard is BIG. Never did any good with it, but the 6" zoom lizards are a whole different story.
  24. Bottom hopper is an awesome floater
