  1. The new bait ate plastic Older ones made of wood way better action Go with the older wood model
  2. Hi I have been fishing big swimbaits (1-4 oz.) for many years This is my advice Go with the triple trout 8" Or a bull shad 8" or 6" They run 50-70$ each Alot of people start out with the smaller swimbaits do to cost. Don't wast your time and money on the cheep stuff the bass have seen time and time again And last throw that bait till your arms fall off Then do it again the next day
  3. Hi I have fished the San Diego area for 20+ years. Trust me don't wast your time ocean fishing. Diego offers some of the best large mouth fishing anywhere.
  4. Look into some ua gloves they make a ton of options
  5. Hi Tom Yep always out there every weekend The night fishing Fri and Sat was great Caught 20 + bass per night
  6. Been bass fishing 25+ years Tried literally every reel under 350$ The CI4+ is the best operating spinning reel I have ever used Go with the CI4+ you won't be dissapointed
  7. Any going night fishing this Friday or Saturday at lake casitas? Great opportunity to catch that fish of a lifetime.
  8. All record fish will need to be weighed on a certified scale Most likely the fish will die or be so stressed and die a day or so later Giant bass are very fragile Iam talking bass above 12 pounds Above 17 and there even more fragile.
  9. The best is the sonarphone fishfinder I use it works great for finding isolated structure that never sees a lure 100 bucks Worth every penny when you see that ten pounder jump
  10. Look for rocks in 15-25 feet of water Try drop shot A great fall bait is the zoom super fluke in baby bass color with some smelly Jelly baitfish
  11. The San Diego area has always been a hidden gem that alot of people never fish Pick a lake there all good
  12. Best lake for numbers is Barrett All so cal lakes with the exception of a few are very low and the bass fishing has dropped off The giants are still out there Siting in the same spots Just got lock jaw
  13. Ya ill put up a bunch of pics later today
