  1. How about a gift certificate from a tackle shop. Most people I think will take a GC instead of cash.
  2. Sounds like some good upgrades. Bet money you will love all of them.
  3. I think plug and play is when you can uncouple some wires and put the wiring harness inbetween and don't have to skin wire and use connectors. One thing you might try is to take your jumper cable and connect to the frame of the car and to the trailer. If it works then, you have a bad ground.
  4. I put a 4 foot cat walk on my trailer.. Made it super easy to load. Never get my feet wet.
  5. Got a Pflueger Supreme XT in the 30 size. Couldn't want for none better.
  6. Here is what I did. One of my bunks broke so I went and bought some treated 2 x 4,s and put carpet on them. Work pretty good except I found out that you are not suppose to use treated wood on aluminum, it will eat a hole in the aluminum. I found out about untimatebunks which is some kind of plastic wood. Ordered them and put them on, super easy to do. You can drill it just like wood. Bad part, they were pretty high, $44 for 8 foot piece, good part, they are guaranteed for life. They work great for unloading but like you said you have to have your boat where it will hit water when you unhook really no problem. I found it hard to load the boat because when you pull up it will slide down. You can either drive it on and leave it in gear and then go hook up. What I have learned to do it have the winch hook ready and pull in on the trailer and hook it pretty fast. After a few times I got it down where it is no problem. I assume the glide pads will work similar.
  7. I am completely satisfied with 7# test Sunline Sniper FC on my spinning reel. Cast great and seems stronger than 7# test.
  8. A 17 foot isn't going to be a whole lot better. I have a 17 ft. and I really have to be careful and check what the wind is going to do on that day I go fishing. I am not saying you can't fish in a 17ft but if I was regular tournament fishing, I would go with a 20 ft or bigger.
  9. Doesn't matter where you caught it or what you caught it on, the biggest you ever caught is your PB.
  10. Never had a problem with the Shroomz head. I still put a dab of glue at the head. I use 7# Sniper with a Lews med. action rod.
  11. Love the Bomber Flat A, still have the Mark Davis Signature one.
  12. Congrats, nice fish !!!!
  13. My Lowe is a '96 I think. It is all welded, doesn't leak a drop. I think they are a great buy !!!
  14. Got the one Lew's brought back. I had one before but somehow lost it. I have always got my crankbait with this one.
  15. I think the uni is easier to tie but I prefer the Alberto knot because I think it goes through the guides better.
  16. Have you thought about a Power Pole Micro Anchor. Don't know the weight of your boat but it takes up to 1500lbs.
  17. About 20 years ago I pulled up to the dock from all day fishing. When I tied my boat up I was looking up at the sky and lost my balance and fell in. Well if that wasn't enough, when I came up my prescription sunglasses was gone. Got the boat loaded and took a Bagley DB3 and started casting for them. On the 10th cast I caught them. That was about a $350 cast.
  18. WOW!!! Great looking fish !!!!
  19. 14 or 16# Sunline Sniper. I can't tell much difference than using mono. Don't need no line conditioner.
  20. I like 5.1:1 for crankbaits, always have. Anything else is 6.8:1, then again I like 6'6" rods.
  21. Sunline, I use their mono, braid, and FC, great line !!!!
  22. I have used this ^^^^ and also some very fine steel wool.
  23. I run ethanol free gas and use Sea Foam every 4th tank.
