Tatula love is over. KastKing is here to dominate Daiwa/Shimano with their AL-Ti!
I'm just getting back into the sport after several years and looking to replace some of my lews speed spool LFS reels and tatula's from 2018ish. Would yall recommend the AL-TI or the new daiwa tatula X? I'm looking to get back into tournament fishing as a co-angler, so they'd be going on several setups.

A Largemouth acting like a smallmouth
I was fishing saturday, caught a LMB, SMB and spot all within about 20 feet of each other. They were stacked on a rock.

New Garmin units announced
Ok, I am going with the 7" echomap chirp. What is the difference between the 73cv and 73dv. Is downvu down imaging, because I thought that Garmin couldn't sell downvu.

Does the Plus models have mapping?

New Garmin units announced
I thought I had settled on the echomap chirp, but I saw the release of the new Plus models, and became interested. My only question is if the plus models have gps, because I don't think I saw any mention of them.

best budget buy under $80
If your range for reels is $80, then look on Ebay for a Daiwa Tatula CT.

Tube Fishing
Recently I have really gotten turned on to tube fishing, and want the most success. I have been using a spinning rod, but had some issues with it. Does using a tube with a baitcasting setup impact or change the action any? If not, I'd love to use a baitcaster for my tube fishing.

When To Use Red Bug Color Soft Plastics ?
I'm with CroakHunter, I try to not overthink color or to a degree the certain plastic/bait I'm using. I like to think that if I find the fish, they will find my bait.

Alabama Rig Rigging
I have a 5 arm yum Alabama Rig, but having heads on all 5 is too cumbersome for my rod. My plan is to only have 3 weighted heads (5/16 or 1/4 heads) and the other 2 are rigged weightless. I'm wondering where to place these so my rig doesn't tangle. Just wondering if anyone has any experience in this and could help. Thanks!

Defend swinging wobble/FTB heads?
Maybe not necessarily the action, but that it comes through cover better. It gets hung up less in rocks because of the football shaped head vs the narrow bullet weight.

Best bass reel on the market!
Ok, Thanks. It looked like the Daiwa D on the handle. Does Daiwa also make the Cabelal ZX and XML rods as well?

Best bass reel on the market!
Looked up the arachnid and it seems VERY similiar to the Daiwa CT series. Anyone fish both, and can tell me the similarities/differences. If they are basically the same reel I am interested because of the lifetime guarantee. Thanks

Questions about soft plastics and jigs
I mainly use blacks, greens, browns and junebug for colors. But the best tip to give you is to work your lure SLOW on the bottom. A lot of people like to hop or drag it real fast back to the boat, but if you let it sit and soak, and slowly retrieve it you will get more bites.

using rod warranty vs cheaper box store rods.
I used a daiwa jupiter as an all around rod a couple years ago when I was getting more serious about fishing, now its my cranking rod because I upgraded my bottom contact rods. But it was/is great and was only $40-50

Spotted and Smallmouth Bass
Lake Cumberland in Ky has all 3 that grow to good size, along with Green River. I have caught all 3 species in both lakes.

First boat?
Thanks guys, and fishnkamp I wanted an aluminum boat for the first go around because its lighter than the fiberglass, and I can take it more places/ding it up and not worry as much about hurting it too bad.

First boat?
Update- Ended up buying the boat for a good price ($2500), and took her out today. It ran great, and besides a couple minor things that didn't function the best, most everything works. FIshed for about an hour, and ran her around for 2-3. At the end of the day only a little water came out when I pulled the plug.

A Big sarcastic Thank You!!!
I agree about BPS being pretty high priced on most everything, but Cabelas isn't as bad. Their soft plastics are decent, and the bargain cave can have decent deals. Also my last trip I picked up some eco pro tungsten swing shads for $2.50, and some Rapala cranks and storm arashi squarebills for $3.

Berkley cranks??
There was a thread not too long ago about the Berkley Dredger series I believe, if you want to see numerous reviews.

Tell Me About Your First Tournament!
My first tourney was last year, and I am in highschool so another person was my captain. Caught 2 fish in the first hour or so, and it was looking pretty good. We decide to move, and the key broke off with half of it in the ignition. We had to set the trolling motor on high and get to the nearest ramp and get picked up by a friend.

Question about tatulas
I have both, and cant really tell much of a difference between the 2, if any.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Got this today at cabelas/DSG, total came out to around $14 or so. Now that I think about it, probably should have gotten some more cranks, along with some storm arashi's considering they were only $3!
