  12. Hey Y'all, I was wondering what is everyones favorite lures to throw from the bank in deep, muddy water for winter bass. God Bless
  13. Where I have been fishing lately i have seen allot of birds surface with shad in their mouth, but the bites around that area have been few and far between. I am throwing shad imitation baits around the area as well. Earlier this fall i would smoke them in the areas that birds were chasing shad and since winter has rolled along i cannot catch a break around the schools of shad and the birds. Keep in mind that the birds are relativity shallow which may be the problem with winter rolling around. God Bless
  14. agreed my friend, i doubt a 10 pound large mouth in Montana would be caught in a pond though. Have a good night, God bless
  15. I fish in nor cal lakes and we have been hit pretty hard in the recent drought. Recently we have been blessed enough to receive a quite a bit of rain in these last few weeks. Right after this happened the bite was tough and left me quite confused. After getting out on the lakes as much as i could i put together a little pattern. That pattern being that the fish went pretty deep. I don't know why they went deep but it may have been from the water clarity with the water being pretty muddy after the rain.
  16. Never eat a bass, catch and release plain and simple. Shows here this one came back to bite him;)
  17. As many as you feel you need for the application that you are fishing. There is no such thing as too many fishing rods
  18. Break my personal bass as i did this year, and explore new bodies of water while streanthing my relationship with others. Another would be to save up enough money to go on a big fishing trip on a trophy lake.
  19. One thing that i have been taught is to always fish with someone else while fishing. Not only does it keep you occupied, you can always learn something or a new technique. Another thing that i learned is to get to know the employees of your local tackle shop, not only will you meet new people to fish with, they also fish the same lakes and ponds that you do, resulting in a exchange of information.
  20. Personally i believe that during the winter it is better to get out on the water in the middle portion of the day. First off sometimes it is just too cold to get out there just at sunrise. Secondly during the middle portion of the day the water temp. warms up a few degrees causing the fish to feed more actively. Although the bite may be tough during the winter, there is always an opportunity to hook into a once and a life time bass, and thats what keeps us fishing. God Bless
  21. What i learned this year in bass fishing is that although you are not the number of fish or size of fish that you would like, every day on the water is still a blessing. We live in a free country and the best country to have the freedom to do what we like and have hobbies like the amazing sport of bass fishing that we all know and love. This year was a good year of fishing for me and my buddies, although recently the bite has been unbearable and not where we would like we still go bust the banks for a good time on the water. A thing that I personally need to improve on in the new coming year is when I am out there and maybe not having the best luck, is to make every single cast that i make count. I constantly find myself on a tough day casting just to cast rather than actually casting to potentially catch a fish. Although it may get tedious, i will catch more fish making casts that count. God Bless

  24. What is your favorite med. crank I need some ideas
  25. I have seen quite a few videos that many say that you can use braid for every fishing application. If that is true I would love to completly make the switch because I love braided line and in the long run it is much cheaper. Your opinion would be much appreciated.
