I caught my PB on one. I still have a few left from the late 70s , but don’t want to use them up. I used some of them a few years ago and caught a few . I need to get some more. The grape, black grape , and black were the colors I used.

Those Cut-Rs are the real deal and speed worms are always in my arsenal. I haven’t done as well with the speed worms this year though. What % would you say you catch on speed worms dead sticking as opposed to fish caught on the retrieve ? Mine is probably around 50-50. Me too. When all else failed.

I had fair success with them in a pond down the road. Ive gotten away from them the last few years . Watermelon Red is my fav. color of trick worms.

Wondering what’s been working for you all lately ? I’m always open for something new to try, or maybe an old bait that’s been working . I’ve had a slower year than normal with Zoom super flukes, but the bite picked up recently on them… For some strange reason, they haven’t wanted trick worms much this year either…

Mine just did!? He’s a friend from church that owned his own shop. Ive known him 25 years.Even though he was 15 miles away he got most of my serious work. Always honest. Now his son took over the business. Hopefully he’ll keep the tradition going…

Those are the worst. My daughters one lived with us the last 5 years of her life. I think at the end she still didnt know who I was or why I was there. If she was near the front door any day I came in , it was on. As if she had never seen me before. Not your friendly “ welcome home “ bark , but the “ I hate your guts” bark. My cat couldn’t stand her either. They got into some classic showdowns. She died this year and they buried her out back and ( of all things ) , put a Georgia bulldog logo on her grave marker. ( Her name was georgia) Very fitting. I did not attend the funeral…

The “Valley of Light” was pretty good. The Grumpier old men movies. I laugh every time at the dead fish in the car part, and the ice fishing shack fight. Walter Matthou was perfect for the part. There aren’t many fishing movies are they?

I didnt realize they were that bad up there.

It was worse than it looks in the pic. They had dug 2 feet down. Saw what looked like a bear track in the mud too.

I DO ignore them 95% of the time, and they eventually quit barking but every time I move they start up again. The owners let them out and take them in every 15-20 minutes. If I’m still out there, the same thing happens over and over. Im very blessed to be able to live there though. At the end of the day , it’s mostly all good. Just not perfect lol.

Honestly though, I like dogs but really don’t understand them. Why do dogs bark at the same people they see every day? You’d think that eventually they would figure out that this man walking around in his own yard means them no harm, or that he isn’t interested in whatever they want or need. I have tried talking to them, whistling to them, heck I tried barking back at them the other day. Nothing works. So There’s always the owner. They are otherwise good nieghbors, but I just know that would ruin what relationship I have with them to mention the dogs. It’s not against the law for them to be out there in their own back yard during the day. And they do keep them in at night. so… here we are.??‍♂️

Well, my nieghbors arent that bad. Its kind of weird but within a couple days of my original post, the incessant barking dog has completely stopped. Maybe they were on bass resource ! More than likely the old man dog shooter called the police. Now if I could just get the nieghbors across the canal on board. They have a new BEAGLE ?. He now leads the 3 dog chorus when they see me come out.

I think hiring a guide would be the best bet if you can. I dont know who to recommend in that area though . Good luck.
