recomendations for cedar water?
I know the colour you mean. I would fish some bright coloured worms, I don't know how because I have'nt seen the depth or conditions but bright worms would be a good choice if you know how to fish them.

northern fall bass?
That grass sounds perfect. If I were fishing that I'd fish a worm through or above the grass depending on how tall it is.

Thoughts on Topwater and "Big" bass
That's why I only fish worms.

fall pond fishing
I was having the same problem. The pond I fish had high weeds around the edges and was fairly dark and merky. I threw on a 3'' yellow action tail worm onto a 1/8 ounce jig and fished it slowly close to the bottom. I was getting 2 or 3 small fish before I tried this then this time I got 15 nice bass including a nice 3-4 pounder. I'd recommend giving that technique a try.

Specifically targeting the pigs
I agree with what roadwarrior said and I would try that if I were you. Fish jigs with worms slow and close to the bottom, that's exactly how I fish the ponds I fish.

A Basses memory
I do think that all animals are more intelligent then we percieve them as being. I would call that memory as well as conditioning because there has to be some memory involved(not necessarily brain but cell memory) that allows the fish to come back.

New Water Troubles - Finding Fall Fish
The deep and rocky sounds perfect for smallies! If your going for LM then I'd try throwing some baits around those docks and trees you mentioned. Maybe drop a worm in beside the dock. Anyway good luck.

need shallow thick veggie fishing advice
Sounds like there could be a lot of snakes and worms so I'd try getting a topwater worm and fishing it, or you could just find another spot!

Help with Small Pond
Your talking to the local pond king! Ok, first tell me the water conditions like clear or merky, the population, weeds or no weeds and how close to the surface, etc. If you tell me those things I can probably give you something that will work.

Fish activity
Like everyone else is saying, spring and fall are best, its not to hot, not to cold, but just right.

weighing bass
I find it really weird when people only say how long the bass is and not how much they weigh. I've noticed that here in Canada people say the weight and not the length and in the US people only say the length. Unless I'm wrong.

Favourite all time worm colour
I'd have to say mine would be bright colours like yellow and white. Yours?

The fish that got away stories.....

What am I doing wrong?
Well let the fish hold it for a few seconds then set the hook hard and kepp your rod tip down.

Fishing docks
I usually jig a worm in that circumstance.

wetting your hands before...
Well why not wet your hands, it takes 2 seconds and you could be saving a fish from infection. Trout are the fish that need to be touched only with wet hands the most though.

How much do you think this bass weighs?
I guarantee you it's 3.2 pounds, I caught a bass at a pond that looked just like that length, size everything so that's my guess.

Ever got your lure back that you broke off??
I was fishing a big red devil once and a pike took it and somehow broke my line. A few minutes later I saw it jumping in the water and it just happened to be a shallow spot so I went over and my lure was sitting at the bottom of the river where I could grab it. Pretty lucky actually.
-
have you ever caught a rod?
My uncle was fishing once and he had to help someone so he dropped his road while the lure was stil in the water. A fish took the rod into the water then a week later his friend was fishing a couple miles downshore and he ended up catching my uncles rod and the fish was still on the line.

help for all you pond fishers
There's this bass pond that I fish down the street from my house and I have noticed with the recent weather that I have only bin getting an average of about 2 bass each time I went. I was mainly using cranks, spinners, and dark coloured worms. The pond is also a little merky. I went there today and through on a 4" bright yellow action-tail worm with a 1/8 ounce jig and just regularly rigged. I ended up pulling out 15 bass including a nice 3 pounder which is pretty big for this pond. Anyway from my experience it's the bright coloured worms that are working well under these conditions. Hopefully that will help anyone interested, if not it was good typing practice.
