My new boat!!!!
Nice boat!! I wouldn't use contact paper. I think it would look cheap. Maybe Plexi-glass with the back side painted or real wood. Use the old one as a template. Congrats on the boat and tight lines.

Sealer for around new deck?
1/2" gap is a little to big for any typical caulk. Try backer rod then caulk over it, or an expanding foam like great stuff. If you use great stuff, let it cure then slice it even with the deck with a sharp razor blade because it will expand past where you want it. Hope that helps.

Some nice walleyes
That'll be a nice shore lunch.

Weirdest bait you caught a fish with
Those are tube worms. In America you see more bloodworms and sandworms.

How to fund your first boat?
I did the head gaskets on a buddies car. He gave me a boat and trailer he had that his wife was begging him to get rid of. I took a lot of elbow greese to make her waterworthy but it was cheap in the end.

Where to fish...
Maybe some frog type baits (horny toads, bronze eyes, etc...) would work well. When I fish from the banks I usually keep a bunch of hooks in my license holder and a couple bags of soft plastics in my pocket. Usually a bag of senkos, a bag of flukes, and some sort of creaturey type of bait. Works well for me.

Well, at least I caught something!
Caught a seahorse once. It was actually attached to a rope I pulled up. One hell of a fight.

Trout!?
Try little hooks and power bait dough bait. Roll up a little ball and stick a meal worm on there too. Put it under a float. If cast and retrieve is your thing try little inline spinners. Good luck.

Interesting Rig
I think a split shot would defeat the purpose of the whole rig being able to slide away from the fish.

Interesting Rig
Here are a couple pics of the rig. Uno e due. I ended up going with a trailer hook cause they were straight shank no bait holder, and also now I have some trailer hooks too. Oh, and no jokes about my small tube.

Interesting Rig
Yeah he said he was using it for smallies, large mouth and even stripers. He also said pretty much anything would hit it. I got some tubes (actually ended up spending about $25 at Dick's!) and I'm gonna give it a shot tomorrow.

Do you guys say fishing prayers ?
I don't pray but this statement is hard to disagree with.

Favorite Band
I'm a huge metal head. Slayer, At the Gates, 3 inches of blood, a javellins reign, etc. I was also into hardcore around jersey and new york back in the day. Cro-mags, agnostic front, VOD, bulldoze, madball, you know whatever.

Interesting Rig
I was talking to a guy and he was swearing by an interesting rig I've never seen before. Pretty much he takes a tube and pierces the tip and just pulls the line through. Then he slides on an egg sinker, then ties off with a smaller gap worm hook. He said wide gap hooks make it twist to much. Egg sinker gets slid up into the tube with the curve of the hook at the bottom of the tube. Instead of fishing like a tradional tube he would swim it back erradically. He said the real benefit is when you hook up it's harder from them to throw it because the tube and weight go sliding up the line. Anybody ever fish this rig? I think I'm gonna give it a shot (can't hurt, right?). I don't fish tubes, I don't use egg sinkers, and probably have to pick up hooks too. Looks like I'm gonna spend 10 bucks tomorrow. Either talk me out of it, or make it the best 10 bucks I've ever spent. I need some bait monkey support here guys. ;D If I do it I'll let you know how it turns out.

Croatia bass
Hey man, I don't know if you need but if you see anything in the states you need, let me know if I can help you out. Last summer you offered to take my friend fishing when he is in Croatia, so I figured I'd offer something in return. He told me about a town party and there is a huge wooden pike. I think he said the town is near Koprivnica.

Thanks fellas. My buddies is pretty old and that is the one I think they might be on the fence about. We'll see how it goes.

BPS rod warranty
Any one have any experience returning a BPS rod that broke. Me and my buddy each have a broken extreme rod and neither have reciepts. I was gonna swing by on Wednsday to see if I could get them replaced, but just wanted to get an idea of what I'm looking at.

Sounds like you have a great role model. Try to learn about business and you could be very happy making a living doing what you love doing. There is nothing wrong with money and you can make plenty without ever cutting a corner.

UFC 70 is in the books....
Gotta agree with that. Gonzaga seemed naturally big and real strong. I seriously would not be surprised if he beats Couture.

Starting My Own Tackle Business..
It may seem overwhelming, but it's not as much as you think. I'm not trying to discourage you, I'm trying to encourage you to set yourself up to succeed. While you are looking into a business model that will work, start making some baits for yourself and friends. Be as original as you can. It could be an innovative product or the same stuff with an incredible marketing plan or image. You never know whats gonna catch on. As long as you are not selling junk, you can succeed(some people are even successful selling junk!). Good luck.
