  1. go back and read my post again, I edited it. My argument isn't about their home win percentage as much as it is about a low quality schedule in general. I admittedly went on a bit of a tangent but it's easy to have a good home record if you don't schedule ANY really difficult opponents AT ALL let alone in your own stadium. For the sake of my point, I could have just as easily replaced "invite" with "play" etc... I hope that clarifies my point.
  2. Yes, JMU does schedule FBS opponents, but those are road games. What would JMU's home win percentage look like if Virginia Tech came to them? Who cares if the wins are at home or away? If anything, a team gets more credit from me for scheduling tough teams AWAY. I don't care about HOME game win percentages, I only said "invite" because you were talking about the home games. The point I want to make is that OU doesn't schedule many difficult games PERIOD so that can only help their home win percentage because even fewer of those good teams they schedule are invited to Norman (as your list shows) If you are caught up in the tough home game schedule, how about App State in 2008? FWIW, nonconference games are not nearly as important in FCS as FBS so it's kind of a moot point.
  3. We're not talking about Big XII teams. We're talking about one Big XII team. Ok, then how about Utah State and Air Force this year? Idaho State and Tulsa last year? (They lost most their other non-conference games last year) Chattanooga, Cincinatti, and Washington in 2008? I'm still waiting for you to reveal which team you like so we can examine their schedule. My team is JMU. They schedule an FBS opponent almost every year. This year it is Virginia Tech. They also play in the toughest conference in FCS football and routinely schedule the top teams from other conferences (ie:App State in several of their recent championship years) You're right. Miami, who finished last season ranked #19 and BYU who finished #12, really sucked! They didn't suck but they really weren't that great. Part of the reason BYU was ranked so high at the end of the season was because they beat #3 Oklahoma at the beginning of the year. Oklahoma was ranked high and ended up sucking but BYU got the benefit of a win against a top 3 team that really wasn't even top 25 and then cruised through an easy schedule with only one decent regular season win against Utah
  4. Those teams are supposed to be impressive? The teams you listed were either not that great at those times or not even close to what I would consider "elite." I've gotta disagree about tough nonconference opponents. I don't see many if any Big 12 teams scheduling any high quality opponents. I'm reminded of a few years ago when Texas Tech was ranked so high despite 3 of their wins being against FCS teams...
  5. *cough*invite some good teams*cough*
  6. That doesn't sound even the least bit appetizing. It's hard enough to find a good philly. Why would anyone want to destroy a sacred sandwich? Wait, let's check the logic. Pizza=Good Cheesesteak=Good .: pizza+cheesesteak must >= good. Dominoes=Not so good Lies! There's no such thing as bad pizza! Haven't you ever heard the expression? Pizza is a lot like sex. When it's good, it's really good. When it's bad, it's still pretty good.

  8. Love my all day flipping stick. So far it's the best power and action I've found for frogs.
  9. Earlier they had a 7' MH and 7'6" H also on sale for ~$150
  10. The Curado E has an incredibly positive reputation. It is highly regarded among the vast majority of its users. That being said, I have an STX and a Premier. The Premier is great but not that good with lighter baits. The STX is good with most baits but I've had maintenance issues with it.
  11. That isn't pizza. :-/ Please elaborate. I'm curious to what you think real pizza is. Unless you're from the NY,NJ area you have nothing to back your comment. Even if you were from NY,NJ you still don't have a leg to stand on. The Chicago "pizza" I've seen on TV looks more like a form of lasagna than pizza IMO
  12. I used to go to WalMart when I was in college. I tried to limit my trips to after 11pm. There were some weird people there late at night but the weirdest by far was a guy we used to call the "Turqoise Cowboy." Oddly enough I only saw him during my rare day time trips.
  13. I always imagine it as coins filling a giant vault. Sorta like this:
  14. My jetpack will make a Volt look silly.
  15. Not uncommon. I know of at least one 18lber being caught.
  16. I've never heard of them snapping line. I have a friend who has caught scores of them and I don't believe he's had the problem either. He uses heavy braid. Pick a tributary of the P'mac from DC down to Aquia. Chances are good that there are snakeheads there.
  17. why? they strike aggressively, fight pretty well, grow to large sizes and taste delicious
  18. Yeah, we've got the northern snakehead which is much larger. Micro, bring that boat of yours up here sometime and I'll see if I can get you into some.
  19. Ahahaha, no. The ticks of Virginia remain unmolested. I actually got the rod to go after snakeheads. Just a personal goal I'd like to meet.
  20. St Croix Imperial 9' 8/9 wt. fly rod.
  21. If you guys feel like bass fishing while down there shoot me a PM. I have fished a few ponds along the peninsula that have LMB.
  22. Dan: replied to Mike L's topic in Fishing Tackle
I just started using bobber stops as well. So far I really like them.
  23. Thanks for the heads up. I'll check them out. Our tackle is very limited right now, we've mostly been getting hunting stuff for the upcoming season. As for the fish finders, I'll check tomorrow but we only have a few models right now. If you see it on the Dick's website, you can come into the store and have them order it online for you at the customer service desk and it will ship for free to your house. I know we just had one on sale but it ended.
  24. That's the Dick's where I work. I didn't catch the rebate offer until after it expired. We also just got some batteries in the store. I've never seen batteries at any DSG stores until this past month. I'll compare some prices of stuff with my discount vs. amazon and walmart and what not. oh, and thanks for the advice mudkart!
  25. ok, the one I'm looking at is a Stowaway Deep Cycle - Professional Series. It says 205 reserve capacity minutes and 115 amp hours. Does that fit the bill?
