  1. Do you use the Canadian or American amazon?
  2. Wondering where other Canadian’s typically buy tackle from online? Usually use tacklewarehouse but shipping, exchange and duties can be rough sometimes. I live over an hour from any tackle store or I’d buy more locally.
  3. Thanks for the input guys.
  4. About 25%. I’m in Canada so it’s $27 shipping for a tacklewarehouse order and we get dinged with customs.
  5. Most of what I’ve seen spit up is a Shad or alewife looking bait fish. I know craws are common in my area as well.
  6. I live up north and yellow perch and smallmouth are every where in the rivers I fish. I’ve tried using perch coloured baits to catch smallmouth with limited success compared to a sexy Shad or other shad/shiner coloured bait. I was just wondering how much of a smallmouth’s diet is actually includes perch?
  7. Both of these were caught in clear water with a dark rocky bottom with almost a rusty stain color. Pretty strong current as well. Depending on where i fish in the same river system usually results in different coloured bass.
  8. I end up buying bitsy bug jigs and trailers, 3" green pumpkin grubs(caught a few already), strike king finesse tubes(caught a few).
  9. If you're in Toronto check out pro j tackle on Shepard avenue. I'm originally from Ontario. Tackle shops in New Brunswick are pretty much Canadian tire.
  10. The yum dingers still get bit. Gary Yamamoto senko's work the best but the price is way higher. Bass pro stick-o's are probably the best bang for the buck in terms of price, action and durability.
  11. Where are you located? I'm in New Brunswick and do tackle Warehouse from time to time but try and make my orders worth it. Usually for Zman stuff and other stuff not common in Canada. Gagnon sports in Ontario has a good online selection but I've only ever shopped in store there.
  12. Thanks guys, I'm going to bass pro tomorrow/making a tackle warehouse order when ever the July.4th sale kicks in so I'll get some little jigs and trailers.
  13. I typically cast to the current and let it take my bait into the pools or cast directly into the pool. I have used Mepps spinners. I just was just more curious about small cranks or poppers.
  14. I fish a stream that's super clear, rocky and has a water fall so it's a strong current. Smallmouth are in the 8-14" range. They love the Ned rig and 4" senkos. What else would you guys throw?
  15. They have an updated model of the fish eagle that's $40 more than the old one I was looking at. These are Canadian $, so I may end up getting a shimano rod of some sort instead.
  16. Any one used the cabela's fish eagle 50? Is it a good value or should I spend the extra $30-40 for something else. Looking at the 7' med 1 piece for throwing tubes/shakey heads on.
  17. I've posted it locally for trade/sale. I have a drop shot spinning rod and a general purpose spinning rod so I'm looking to throw something a little on this rod than just senko and soft baits.
  18. I have a shimano compre casting rod 7'2" worm and jig rod (worm model) Lure weight: 1/8-1/4oz, Power:medium Action: Fast paired with a citica reel. I've only used it a few times and it feels super flimsy and regret buying it. What baits/techniques would you recommend using it for? Fishing smallmouth in the ***.5 lbs range. Or would you recommend selling it or trading it? Thanks for any tips or insight.
  19. What area are you thinking? Ontario is packed full of good lakes.
  20. My tax return is going to one of these sales, that's for sure.
  21. Has any one tried these? Seeing ads everywhere and Wheeler was using them this past weekend at Cherokee.
  22. Coming up on 4 years, Canadian Army.
  23. Bought this with xmas money and then a bunch of spinner baits, gulp alive and a gloomis hoody. Rod is a 7'2" medium heavy.
  24. In no particular order, GYB Senko/BPS Stick-o, Strike King 3.5" coffee tubes, drop shot(3"senko or kvd dream shot), 3/8 oz jig with a craw trailer, ned rig and mepps spinner. These baits caught several hundred smallmouth for me in 2016.
  25. Thanks, you get like 10x more grease for the same price.
