  1. Yesterday, I went over to a classmate's apt. to work on a group project. I get there and I see this piece of equipment that looks like a chair in the middle of her living room. I ask her what it is and she tells me it is the Ab Lounge. I laughed for a bit because I don't trust any of those T.V. items. It is all a rip-off. She then challenges me to get on the thing and so I do. I'll tell you what guys, I did about 12 reps and when I stood up, I felt a little dizzy in the head. I then sat down on the sofa to avoid fainting. ;D She laughs at me so I decide to give it another shot. By the end of the night, I must have about 45 minutes worth of meaningful exercise on the Ab Lounge. That thing is no joke. It's kind of fun too because the way it works reminds me of a Japanese sex machine, not that I have ever been on one with anybody or seen one...only heard of it. ;D Well, I guess more jogging and less fishin' for me since I'm "going back into the woods again." Cheers!
  2. I always use fluoro. leader when fishing with braid line or when using spinning gear for trout. It has little stretch and a high breaking point. It is much less visable than mono but this serves as a confidence factor more than anything else, unless you fish extremely clear water. I think you'll be happy with a good flouro. line such as Seaguar.
  3. Thanks Mech. Guys, for 100.00 is there anything else better?
  4. I'm thinking about getting this low end St. Croix for heavier freshwater striper fishing. I have one in MH but have only used it to catch small stipers, about 8 lbs and below on average, and largemouths. I'm really getting into striper fishing and I was trying to find an XH but couldn't find it. The employee didn't know either and couldn't find one. You guys know if Triumphs come in XH? BC by the way. Thanks guys.
  5. It is a good line. The breaking strength well exceeds what is listed. I fish around rocks a lot and when I get stuck, the line comes through for me without breaking. I have not changed the Gamma line on my reel, which I need to do, in over 4 months. I just pulled in my new PB in Tenn. on Saturday using this old Gamma line. I think you will like it.
  6. The YUM LPT stuff does work. It is my secret weapon to spray on live redworms when my friends and I are having a bluegill competition. A friend has a small pond, about twice the size of your average bathtub. Last year for about one month, we were raising these two bass in there just to see how big they can get and I purposely sprayed the LPT into the pond. The bass go crazy!! They swim around in circles and they begin to look like they're lost or anxious about something. I think they are definately trying to find where the scent is coming from. Kindda sounds like me when I smell a good steak on the grill. Cheers.
  7. This thing keeps staring at me everytime I pass the fishing section at Wal-Mart. I'm thinking about picking it up but I just want to hear some of ya'lls opinions first. Any of you guys use it for bass or freshwater striper?
  8. Well, I guess I might as well let nature take it's course. Hopefully, the woman that decides to date me doesn't care too much for hair. Maybe I outta try Bosley instead, it seems more permanant.
  9. I'm only 24 but I see more of my forehead every few months. I'm thinking about going down to the Wal-Mart and picking up a Rogaine kit. Have any of you guys used it with success? Cheers.

I'm glad Randy won. He's a real humble guy and after seeing how gentleman like he was in Pros vs Joes, it's kind of hard not to pull for him. The only thing I don't like about him though is that he can't finish fights. A lot of his fights are decisions. A lot of his teammates are the same way. Dan Henderson for example. Great guys, with great skills...just can't finish.
  11. I picked up my first two LCs: two pointers, one in Amer. Shad and Ghost Minnow. 2 for 22. Stacys and another one on sale for 9.99. Check out your local BPS. Cheers.
  12. OLN seems to make a big deal about them on some of the shows. I was at BPS and saw the Nemire lures. I didn't get them though. Do you guys fish them and how have they performed? Thanks fellaws.
  13. Hahahahahah. I don't care too much for Dick's either. At the store here in my town, one guy works both the fishing and hunting department. I've never, never seen more than one guy in the fishing/hunting department. Takes forever to find him to get a reel out for me.
  14. For some reason, I've always thought that beetle spins are for large crappie.
  15. A little off topic but...on all three of my rat-l-traps, I use a feathered hook on the back. I may convert all of my cranks and jerks to this method. A little added action when the lure is still.
  16. Which of the two is supposed to be better/more desirable? Pros/Cons? Thanks.
  17. If I had a scanner, I'd post a picture but I don't. I got it at Gander Mtn. for 3.99. It is a solid silver color and etched on the handle is WORTH, Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA. No offense to you guys from Wisc. ;D When I got it, I changed out about 10 rings with no problems and after that, it just got harder and harder to do. Strange, I know, because you normally get better with repetition. It became as hard using the plier as it was using my fingers. I examined the tool and the teeth that is suppose to grip onto the ring, was rounded off on both sides already. I then looked down on my table and saw specs of "silverish" dust everywhere. I don't know if any of you guys have this tool too and experienced the same thing. Save your 4 bucks and go to Wendy's.
  18. The way I do it is, I don't fill up the entire spoll with Flouro. because the memory will get nasty. So, I just use a decent 4lb. mono and attach 5-7 feet of good flouro. to it using a blood knot. I like the fact that flouro. is much less visible but it is more expensive so I use it this way to conserve it. It has worked well for me with trout.
  19. I know, I know...the lakes in NC aren't freezing over anytime soon but you never know. ;D Just for kicks, I purchased an ice fishing combo for 20 bucks and it just came in. The rod has no reel seat. I'm not kidding guys. I thought the seat was underneath all the wrappings so after I took all the wrapping off, no seat. What am I suppose to do now? Thanks.
  20. I too have never caught anything with them.
  21. For some reason, I keep thinking that spoons are "old school" style lures. Anyhow, a friend showed me an old magazine listing the top 50 lures of all time. Coming in second place, I believe, was the Dardevele spoon. I was just wondering if any of you guys fish spoons with success. I ended up buy two just because it was ranked 2nd. With that said, here is my set-up for spoons: I use a split ring to attach to spoon then I use a barrel swivel and attach one end to ring and other end to line. Is this correct? I retrieve with a steady pace. Do you guys find this effective or do you prefer a stop and go action? Thanks fellas.
  22. I have these huge super-sized senko knock-offs that I carry. Got 'em off e-bay and the body is too big, even for a size 5 EWG gammy hook.
  23. I was looking at the Michelin Destiny tires. They're suppose to be club tirs, whatever that means. Google won't bring any useful info either.
  24. Blew a tire out last night..second one in 4 months. They're getting pretty bald and because I'm a poor guy in school right now, I may have to look into getting tires from a discount place here in town. I'm kind of skeptical about the quality because why else would they be discounted. Any of you guys buy tires from discount places? I know they carry name brand stuff as well but the last thing I want to do is buy name brand discounted tires and have them defected. By the way, what do they mean by Club tires? Thanks.
  25. Thanks Muddy. I just bought myself a new bream combo.
