The $EC has no equal
Correct... 1997 season, bowl game played 1/02/08. Let's just agree to disagree. The SEC is a great conference, but... the BIG 12 RULES! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D MIZZOU-RAH, MIZZOU-RAH, MIZZOU-RAH...TIGERS! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I can't do that, not with a tiny 12 backer. I SAID IT'S GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL, I SAID IT'S GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL, I SAID IT'S GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL!!!! V-O-L-S GO VOLS GO.

The $EC has no equal
And again you validate my point that the SEC is allways in the national picture, remember Alabama is and was an SEC school. You still haven't taken the SEC out of the equation. No matter which school it is Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Auburn one of them was in the national picture (top 4) thorughout the 70's except for 1976 when the top finishing SEC team was Georgia at #10. Wrong again, that game was in 1997. The mighty VOLS won their 6th national championship in 1998, putting them one ahead of Nebraska in NC's.

Did you somehow forget that Alabama was part of the SEC. Which just validates my point, that the SEC is allways in the national picture. Even your "game of the century" year had Alabama #2 at the end which still puts the SEC in the national picture. Try agian.

The $EC has no equal
Got lucky? Luck had nothing to do with it, they got absolutely owned in both games. Name a time when the SEC, (which this is a conference discusion) wasn't in the national picture unlike every other conference.

Because the little-11 and slac-10 are jokes. At least with this deal we will get most of the games in HD now. Raycom has the chitiest picture.

Why, I got extras at my house. I may have to get the game for my Wii, just wish I could get some kind of internet at home besides dial-up. >

Bending the Barb
Decided to do my own little experiment this weekend. I bent the barb on every lure I fished this weekend and didn't loose a single fish (8 in all in about 2 hours at the pond) and had a much easier time getting hooks out. I caught them from 6" to 3 lbs. and never any problem at all. And I also didn't see any adverse effects with my highend chemically sharpened hooks. The hookpoint didn't instantly become disfigured and useless. I actually believe my hooksets were easier and I got a better hookup ratio without the barb hindering the hook going in.

Who can tell me where this is?
Man you 've got some powers of observation. Must be a Viriginia thing the palms and cattails were the first thing I noticed as well. Of course I did look at the landscape around it moreso than the lighthouse. You can only tell where it is by whats around it, the structures themselves can be stuck anywhere. As far as my guess I would put it somewhere in the Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi region with the willow trees and such. I also think it is a resort type place or private place with the deck cahirs, you can also make out a couple light poles and the roof of a car on the right hand side of the pic.

Bending the Barb
I don't see how the hook is sharpened has anything to do with it. Bending the barb slightly doesn't cause any heat build up or anything else that would do the damage you speak of. All you are doing is pinching the barb down to flatten it. Unless you are just tarded and grab it like you are trying to take the lugnuts off your truck with the pliers, there is no way you will effect the physicall integrity of the hook. And chemical sharpening isn't necisarilly that great either. "The chemical smoothes or "eats away" the metal and, in effect, refines the point. This is quite a critical operation because if the chemical sharpening goes on too long it will eventually dull the point and may weaken the barb. Furthermore, if the chemical attacks one side of the point more than the other then the point will be weakened. Finally, it is important to remember that chemical sharpening will not make a weaker point into a strong one. It is more likely to make a suspect point even weaker!"

It sucks having a friend with a tackle shop...
All you do is bellyache all the time. I need to take over the wife's store and move all the tackle and hunting stuff in their. Then I would end up owning your house and you don't even want to know what kind of landlord I would be. Go get yourself a dang cheeseburger and eat that sumbitch and PUT SOME MEAT ON THEM BONES RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

Nope, I couldn't even find your super secret beaver dam. I saw a place that at one time could have been a beaver dam, but that was about it. I think I saw it on the other side of the lake.
