Who wants to pitch in with me
OOOO, OOOO, PICK ME, PICK ME!!!!!!! I don't know that it will work anyway, so just make it a pitch-in to help me be friends/fishing partners with him. What will work is a new Stratos, I would rather have a Nitro Z-9 but he would just complain about riding around in it. ;D

Is it possible to have too many drills?
Let me clarify that I am making my assesment of them by working with my drills daily doing heavy duty drilling. Installing truck accessories, all of my work is done in metal and drilling truck frames and running a 4" holesaw through a truck bed and going up to 1/2'-5/8" hole through 1/4" steel will really put a drill to the test.

Dewalt is garbage. As far as cordless tools I am sold on Bosch all the way. They are the most durable longest lasting drill I have ever used and you can't beat the 3 year warranty. I tried one about 4-5 years ago when I had 2 Dewalts peter out in less than 2 years time and will never look back.

Left-handed casting?
Had the same thing happen to me on my first 5 lb. fish, if it hadn't been for fishing left and being ready to set the hook and reel instantly I wouldn't have gotten it. I guess you didn't bother to read through the referenced thread I posted on page 1: Re: Why is the reel handle on the right Reply #15 - Aug 22nd 2007 at 11:37:12 By George Welcome Let's get technical, as there are in fact reasons, not just some lame holdover from days past that put the handles where they are. What will move the fish during retrieval is placed to the strong hand! A baitcast is designed to be used as a winch, so it is the reel that retrieves the fish. Hence if you are right handed the handle is in your right hand. A spinning reel is designed to pick up unloaded or loose line, not retrieve the fish. Hence it is the rod that does the retrieval, so it is the rod that is in your strong hand. If you are right handed then the pole goes to the right hand. That makes very littel sense and I believe it is just a fancy worded up excuse. Hey Rooster you mentione casting position and moving your hand anyway. I don't know about anyone else but when I cast my right hand is in the same position it is in when I reel palming the reel. How short is your thumb or how big a real are you using that you can't hit the realeas and thumb the spool from the palming position? Did anyone else watch Elias bring in those fish for the record and watch him changing hands while bringing in a 8+ on a crankbait just so he could release the spool and give line and then have to change hands again to start reeling again. I was watching this just knowing he was apt to lose any one of those fish during one of those hand switches.

In-line muzzleloaders
Buying for your son go with the Knight Wolverine 209 Youth Value Pack it has everything you need in one package for $288. It is a good rifle and perfect for the beginner has EVERYTHING you need in the kit even the clening kit. The only thing you will have to buy extra is the powder and primer caps. I got one of these kits for myself years ago when I first started using a muzzleloader and I still use it, I am however upgrading it to the 209 primer breech that it comes with now. Here is a link to it: http://www.knightrifles.com/catalog.aspx?catid=wolverine209

Is "Sexy Shad" really that good?
What it is is a fish catcher. I caught many fish this year on that color when they wouldn't the old standards or anything else.

My favorite response to this question comes from the movie Contact, "But I guess I'd say if it is just us... seems like an awful waste of space. "

need help finding nice crankbait rod for 130ish
I have a Carrot Stix 6'9" MF cranking stick that is great for throwing to specific spots such as under overhangs and brush, it handles 1/4-3/4 oz. lures. I ordered it for a guy in our club to use at Buggs Island and he never even took the tags off of it, it just rode around in his rod locker till a couple weeks ago and I gave him his money back on it. I will let you have it for $140 shipped if you are interested. If I don't sell it before next spring I am gonna keep it for myself.

It has begun...
Sam I got 2 sets of 8's from our place in KY a couple weeks ago. As far as Burley goes, I guaranteed a kill for him yesterday evenin, I went with him and we stayed local so that meant he was gonna outdo me. Now we need to take a hunting trip somewhere so I can get me a nice big one while he sets and plays with his scope.

If any of you work with saws,
Seen those a few months ago, they are awsome but I believe I will stick with my Grizzly for now, just can't swing that price for something I don't use that often.

BR Lure Fun Season 2!
I would be in again, I had fun with the first one and ended up buying 3 of them and won a Dinkmasters tourny with it. I did catch the most on it, of anyone not fishing a private trophy lake that is.

Booyah has done it again!
Don't get me wrong I wasn't meaning to lump them all in that category, but the fact remains a good percentage, according to you 20+% (Over 70 % are not felons) are felons and they do end up there because of the judge saying JC or jail. I don't have a problem with it at all as a whole I think it is a great program and rarely do we have any problems with any of the students and I have live less than a mile from one for over 30 years.

You work at a Job Corp Muddy? I live a mile awar from one and the general consensus of this one and it has been here as long as I can remember is it is a halfway house for young felons, just where they get to go because they are under 18 and can't go to a regular prison yet. Had a student leave and stole a car from our lot once. Had a guy from the center call and warn us that he had a record for car thieving and to be on the lookout, too late he allready had our nicest Nissan Maxima and gone when we came in that morning. He was sent to the JC because he was only 17 and allready had convictions for nearly 50 stolen cars and had done as many as 7 in one night. The center director was a good friend told us who it was and where he was from and it is only about a 3 hour drive so we went to get our car. We got pulled over by the police there after they got a report that there was a strange car full of men driving around slowly shinning lights and looking for something. That is when we got the real lowdown on this kid from the police. After talking to them we left and went home the car was spotted a day later in a school parking lot and they followed him to a junkyard where he was trying to sell the wheels off it. Oh well that's enough of that.

I don't see how it is a ripoff, you don't have to buy it. It's no worse/better than any other procuct a company puts out. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean they're ripping people off. I guess Hardee's and every other restaraunt chain is ripping people off as well. Everyone can make their own hamburgers at home out of a pack of meat and a pack of buns for the same price of two $4 thickburgers you can make 8 on your own. Let me add I don't see me buying one because it is a waste of money for me, I can practice pitching to anything I lay on the ground, but a ripoff it isn't.
