Got nothing to do with insomnia. I wouldn't mind knowing every Thursday I'm gonna be at work for 10 hours and know that I will have nothing at all to do so I need to bring something to pass the time.

Nothing even close to that size. But did bring in a bluegill on a swimming senko. Watched it come up and bite the tail and just slowly reeled it in as it chewed on the tail and it didn't let go till I swung it over the boat.

I was fishing so that was the best, you can't ask me to single out any one day. Met and fished with 4 new friends from here, great guys all.

It took me a while to jump on the tungsten wagon as well but it is worth it. You get much more feel from them where lead is softer it absorbs some of the fell a tungsten weight transmits directly to the line. As far as dropshotting goes, I don't see any need to use tungsten since the weight would have no effect on feeling strikes.

You'd just end up getting caught in it yourself. What you need to worry about is just how big I'm gonna make the pond. I never seen a place so perfect for a nice pond to be built so easily.

I will go with real. It is not uncommon to see through moving objects in pictures such as this with motion blur and a camera with a slower shutter speed. It picks up the background behind the deer and then double exposes the deer on top of that as it moves.

We still brought home the GOLD though, your 2 monsters put us over the top.

Wife called yesterday and offered to go hook up the boat and bring it out for an evening trip to a local lake. Of course I thought this was a spectacular idea. I close the store at 5:00 and we head out, the lake os only about 15 minutes so we are on the water fishing around 5:30. The lake is down about 10 feet and it is a little tricky gettin the boat launched but not to bad I have been when it's much lower. She is throwing a RageShad (because she likes watching it) and I start with series 5 crank. Nothing for about the first 45 minutes and then I give here chatterbait to tie on since Burley pulls them consistently from this lake with it. We move to the opposite bank and start heading back out the right arm and I am now throwing a jig. In no time she sets the hook and pulls in a solid 1 lbr. About 15 minutes later she jerks and fish on I am watchin her reel hers in and tap tap, I set the hook and yell double. I get mine in and she loses hers at the boat got a good look at it a decent 2. I keep switching between the jig/crank and chatter while she continues with the chatter (shes now got a new favorite). She pulls in another 1.5 and then another nice 2. We took out around 7:30, I missed a couple and she lost another one. So I got beat by my wife who has fished all of 3 times this year and beat bad, the one fish I got was pushing it to be 8". I got to thinkin later, I will continue to take my boat but from now on I am giving it over to whoever I'm with and I'm fishing out of the back. Burley beats me all the time out of the back and PitchinKid destroyed all of us this weekend from the back of it. Hey BigTom it's time for us to head out again if you want to catch some fish the back of my boat has the mojo now. I took the camera and left it in the truck :-[ so y'all will just have to take my word for that I got beat by my wife.

Forgot about that thing. Surprised Burley and I didn't catch a deer in the grille on the way to WVa they were along side the road the whole way.

LOL, how bout it? I saw those yesterday in the water, no idea on this end either... PitchinKid and I saw one as big as a beach ball, neither of us knew anything about them either. He just said they are slimey and hard. Feed me chili one night and Italian the next and throw a few hot cheese pepperoni rolls in for good measure. I never even thought about bringin my camera because I knew Burley would have it covered, worst part I had my phone on my hip all day saturday and never even thought about it havin a camera on it. Got to agree on Booten, just make sure he keeps that monkey in line. My wife is the only one that ever used that thing, she fished with me when Jimzee came down here and it took her 3 hours to notice it was missing.

Should have taken your sorry rear too. Booten ain't that far from you and he fished alone since Speedbead was too much of a [censored] to make the trip down this weekend. Heck we could have even picked him up on our way through, we weren't that far from him going up 119.

Never thought I would say I was envious of anyone from WVa, but Jimzee has got everything you need right there. A great lake and some of the best Itallian you will find anywhere. Big thanks go out to him and his wife for the great hospitality. Was great to finally meet PitchinKid and Booten and hit the water with them. I ended up with 8 altogether topped off with tha 5 in the pic. Also got my first white bass and of course as Burley mentioned my first muskie. Almost had my first double on a crankbait early saturday but one of them came off. Both were nice 2.5's the one that came off kept coming back and hitting the lure but never got hooked again, then right at the boat as I lifted the one out of the water another one came up to see what was going on. I thought we were gonna be on a killer crankbait bite in that one spot for a while bet never got another one to even follow it. Can't wait to go back when the weather is a little bad and see what that place really has to offer.

The toads are the only ones I really have a problem with. Got some space monkeys and anacondas in last week, got a couple dinks on the monkey and one bite on the anaconda. Burley gave the anaconda good workout at the cheerleader pond and didn't even get a bite, or very few with no hookups.

Went up Sunday mornin for a few hours with Burley, found out later it was a ploy by my wife to get me out of the house for her to set up a surprise birthday party. Anyway we head out around 7:00 a little cool and expecting a good topwater bite. Get to the ponds making the turn to back the boat closer to the water gonna drive over some briars to get better lined up and all the sudden the truck stops with a nice crunch. There is a 4" tree trunk stuck in the brush and finds the grille of the fishin truck. Burley has the pics of how the fishing went and will let him give the story with those, but here are the pics of the eventfull morning before we even got out of the truck.

The only fish I have gotten on the toad have been the instant the lure hit the water and a pure reaction strike so I can't really attribute them to the bait since about anything that hit the water would have been eaten. The shads are great I love throwing them but I am getting very put off with one small fish strike at it and the tail is torn and useless. I have been using super glue on them to fix the tear and getting more casts out of them. There is no fix for the nose getting ripped after a couple fish and rendering them floor fodder. Don't get me wrong I will continue to use the shads especially the green pumpkin/chartreuse ones (got 15 packs) but I can buy them wholesale. The toads I used out of the clamshell packs have actually been worse, the older ones I have without the clam pack actually ran moe like 75/25 good/bad. Also alot of the new toads have the nose messed up out of the package. Appears they are poured into the molds with the nose at the top and they don't fill it completely and it makes the nose misshapen.
